    What year is it, REALLY?

if you look at the rear frame rail the month and year of manufacture will be stamped on it. on the very tip. but if you've got an airlift bumper then its covered up.

    Fan setting issues

Hi, My city has 2 HMMWVs and one came with a non-working fan system. Regardless of temp, the fan would never kick on. We changed the fan switch sensor in the crossover pipe, the cold advance sensor on the back of the passenger side head, and the time delay module. We also upgraded the start box...

    Fuel system trouble

Thank you wire fox for the info. I wanted ask about the IP's though. I see that the parts TM has separate listings for 6.2 and 6.5 which is understandable but it lists 2 different IP's and part numbers for the 6.2 for before and after 1990 year model engines. would this come into play here? I...

    Fuel system trouble

My city just received 2 1990 6.2 M998's. We have been going through them and getting everything up to par but keep having an issue. On both trucks when they are running and accelerator is pressed and let off suddenly (like you would do coming up to a stop sign) the trucks die and must be...

    rear driveshaft question

Hi, I am toying with the idea of installing the 4l80e in my current 6.2/3l80 setup. this truck does have the 242 t case already from that MWO. I am aware of the drive shaft that need to be changed, shifter, linkages, TCM, etc. My question is on the rear driveshaft. I already have one PN...

    5th wheel conversions

Hi, My city, for whom I work, has a m1088a1 with a 2" sliding Holland 5th wheel. We are needing a 3.5" 5th wheel to tow a WD6S 6000 gallon water tanker. Ive located a Holland 3.5" sliding 5th wheel from a frieghtliner m916a1. The slider rails look identical and they are both for 34" frame...
