LMTV Oil change question with 3126B

Changing the oil in my 3126B Caterpillar. Cat swears it holds 19 quarts. I'm at 21 quarts and nothing on the dip stick. Does anyone have an idea of what
it should hold. Looks like a shallow sump oil pan. Thanks for your help.

The military motors take more. 26 quarts maybe. I usually add till the dipstick is in the proper range. I give a few min for settling towards the end. Make sure your dipstick is going all the way in.
