Since I added the turbo stack and the Rickster bypass I have boosted the HP at least 30 more at the wheels. I am looking into a 6" lift and a back up camera with a 48" flat screen monitor. GPS, run flats, UPS, and a full camo cover with radar scattering ability. The ROPS is a nice addition also. I was able to load and unload the tailgate without even get off the seat. Thanks for asking. Busted up the fire bricks for driveway filler. Worked like a champ.

Rick, you forgot to add the convoy light to the ROPS on your wish list.

I finally got around to getting a big Mulberry tree cleaned up over at the farm. Used the M1009 to remove and pull the root system out. What was left had a friend dig out with a Kubota. All done. What else is a Ford truck bed good for? I had it setting around long enough. I put it to use. Watch next week I will get a call for one. Burned it with the tailgate in place. Best fireboxes I ever found. I burnt an entire hose in a CUCV bed a few years back. This one is on a culvert pipe over a small stream. Not much firewood but enough for extra work. My Grand Son rust proofed the inside of the M1009 by spilling a gallon of bar oil in the back by climbing in the back gate to get to the back seat. I only noticed when the oil was at the brake pedal. 4 rolls of Bounty and all cleaned up. There will be better days. Simple green smells good in the M1009 also cleans bar oil pretty well.

Off on another job of sweep and destroy. I picked up 3 alternators at the rebuilder last night. 1 had a bad diode trio, one a bad isolated ground and one had a voltage regulator on the fritz. I dropped off one alternator from the Jersey Indian. Have a Great Day.

I stripped the frame down and burnt everything that was extending from the sides and above the top frame flange. 
I have hundreds of hardwood imported 2 x 4 X 96" wood boards so I decided to make a cart to get axles and parts off the ground and consolidate them. 
The frame was rusty and not serviceable and I need to get a few sets of used axles off the ground and under tarp. I have a lot of parts stored about. It will be very useful. I am going to let the steering hooked up and extend the steering shaft above the deck. Dougco1 I know what you are thinking. The neighbors never even seen me. I have the boards screwed down with self tapping counter sunk screws. Very solid deck. You never know when you need a bit of mobile storage. With my Kubota FEL it is a winning combination. Thanks for looking. I know it's something completely different. Finish up tomorrow. Start loading it up.

My Son stopped by and ask if I built that to get across the stream. I thought hey good idea. Portable bridge. I have some 26' 2 X 14 boards that would mount and make it even. But I am not putting sides on it. Just want it to get about 10 CUCV axles off the ground/skids. Now with the Kubota life is getting easier. I have to keep moving on this project and get another vehicle up for stripping. When all is done. I want everything cataloged and stored. No more scrap vehicles outside. My rule. Makes cleaning up and keeping neat easier.

I have been using Terminus as a mobile tool box and it works great to power my saws all and radio. I left the inverter power on for a week and went to start it. No happiness. Since the inverter is attached to the front battery only the light bulb in my head shown brightly. I have a few of these awesome GB70 NOCO HD BOOST Jump Starter packs. It provides 2000A 12 V will start a 6.0 diesel. I have started bigger trucks as long as the battery is not stone dead. Any who. I hooked it up hit the switch and Terminus started right up. These jump packs are amazing and a must have for any vehicle enthusiast. I cranked over a few vehicles that were sitting in buildings for 10 years. Worked like a dream. No heavy cables and charges from the USB port on my Silverado. Most times on CUCV's it is just the front battery that needs jumped if it just chatters when you hit the key. Have a Great Day.

Let the fun begin. A put a For Sale sign on Terminus M1009 and set it out by the road. I have been bombarded with calls. Many are clueless as to what a CUCV even is. I go thru this everyday. I say things and people look at me like WTF are you talking about. A classic is at Dunkin Donuts at 0500. I see the Gal making the donuts. I say "Time to Make the Donuts" They say yes. I say I guess you never heard of that. Also someone ask me a question I may say " Ancient Chinese Secret" I hear the fly by in the air. I have younger people and I must explain Lock and Free on the hubs. They don't understand it. They fear if they hit the road with the lock and in 2 WD the sky will fall. Great times. The questions about Terminus M109 are the best. How did the paint fade so evenly? Why does it have tow hooks and no place for a license plate. I will let it sit there for a while then take the top off and re- park it. That will bring the cool factor into the sale. have a Great Day. And all I ask is to have it your way.

After a full day of work at my regular job I went and worked my irregular job. I am cleaning up a few areas on the property that has blocks and stone on piles. I did find a nice cable that had some nice thimbles on it. I can tell by looking at it that it was a military cable. Close to Indiantown Gap.

I pulled into a Kentucky Fried Chicken with my M1009. Went in to order and the kids behind the counter said that truck is cool. What's mounted on the sides, fishing poles? I just laughed and told them it was a military radio truck and those are the antennas. They have no clue nowadays.

I pulled Terminus M1009 off the roadside so I can get some work done. It was a magnet for needy people. I may be doing some updates to Terminus M1009 and repurposing it. Stay Tuned for the next season. Terminus M1009 goes to rework. Coming soon to this channel.rsh4364

Nowadays everyone wants a 1009. Just sold my older 85 very rusty non running 1009 for 100$ more than I bought it for 6-7 years ago.

Today I was out in the yard cleaning up the wood knuckles from the log splitter area. A roll back came backing down the driveway. A man got out and shouted over to me. That he came for the Blazer. Is it still For Sale? I was puzzled. He said I was sent here by a guy to pay you and pick up the Blazer. Sweet. I said can't go today. The title needs transferred. He said that's fine I just want to pay for it before someone else comes and gets it. He said did you sell it already? I said no but I pulled it out back so I could get some of my work done. I must have received over 50 phone calls about it. Many thought I was crazy wanting $2500. for it. It starts it runs everything is there. Not Hacked anywhere. No lift kit, No cut harness/fuel system and everything complete. SOLD. No dickering and heehawing around. I like it that way. All BS and excuses aside. Now I can get rolling on my next M1009 project. They will be back tomorrow with the roll back to pick it up. I made sure he knew it has new exhaust front to back. New rear main seal, new batteries, new starter, All brakes, calipers, wheel cylinders, HD trans cross member, Strut/torque rod from transmission to transfer case. All bushings, sway bar. spring, motor mounts are energy suspension. New shocks. All the dents and custom work are free. I had it loaded with camping and 4 wheeling gear. I unloaded it all and checked all the fluids. Good to go. This closes another chapter in my CUCV adventures. It was a fun ride and this particular M1009 I was familiar with for over 20 years. I rescued it from emanate doom 2 cars from the car crusher. If the plow were not on it. It would have been gone/crushed the day before I seen it. All good things have to come to an end. Never know it may reappear again and I may rescue it. Doubtful but possible. Hey have a great day. I will get some parting shots. Glad the guy did not want the stock seats. I never received them with this truck. He was not worried one bit. He wanted 4 WD that was emission exempt, computer less and easy to work on. He liked the dents and custom work and said he will never worry about who he parks next to or where he parks. I have Crown of Thorns M1009 and feel the same way. Just had a ladder on the roof last week. Why NOT. Not a show piece. It is a utility vehicle nothing less and nothing more.

Today as I was cleaning out Terminus M1009 of all it's off road equipment I came across a glow plug solenoid that I wanted to install a few years back because I had a situation only one time that Terminus M1009 would not start when cold. I jumped across the solenoid and it fired right up. The situation never arose again. But since I had the solenoid I wanted to install it and I removed the old one. I drilled the rivets out of the base. I could exactly why it was a no start that one time. It was taking longer to glow lately and that was because of the slag and weld on the main contact. The snow plow relay/solenoid works for me. I used them all the time. Tossed the old one out after the exploratory surgery. Have a great day. It even said 8AD on the bottom. How did it know?

After a 10 hour day at my regular job I took full advantage of the wonderful warm weather. I hauled a load of wood home and cleaned up a job I was procrastinating on. It is all done now. It had a slight shimmy at 60 MPH but all is well. Short trip and a hop skip and jump on and off I 78. I had the cargo net over the load and that was the life saver. Parked in a VC crossing area when I got home. Also Amish buggy traffic area. Busy area with Children Playing. Slow down and enjoy the great weather. I achieved a lot today. Time to rest tomorrow is another great day.
