Sandblasted metal prep before Behr paint

I will be painting my deuce with Behr paint soon. The bed and the cab have Carc on them. They will require minor sanding and priming in small areas. However I will have to sandblast my hard top. Also I have an unpainted NOS outer windshield frame that is raw steel. Once I sandblast and epoxy prime my bare components, what should be my next coating? Should I use some type of paint after the epoxy primer? Should I pick up just 1 gallon of Carc just for the bare metal parts? Then after the parts are painted apply the Behr? Keep in mind the whole truck isn’t getting blasted. Thanks for the suggestions.

I just had my M54A2 completely media blasted, and primed with Rustoleum red-oxide primer, I painted it with a military contract, Blackhawk helicoptor paint, from Sherwin Williams, about 3 days after primering I wiped her down, and blew her off, and started paining. Got her all done about 3 days ago, paint seems to be sticking just fine. nice and sinisterly dark, looks almost black in the shade. Wish I could take pictures, but ain't that smart.

If you are going to all the trouble of blasting, use a good epoxy primer. Also, look at the paint instructions from the manufacturer. There will be a time limit from when you spray the primer (in hours) until you can still spray the top-coat without having to scuff the entire truck.
