What size recovery strap is appropriate for an MTVR motorhome?

I know that @Csm Davis has some M1A1 abrams tow cables if you are feeling like getting stuck often

Sooo... what do you snatch a 40,000 truck with, if it’s stuck good? We used to snatch 5,000 trucks with a 7,000 truck and 120’ parachute straps until something broke.
The tailgate likely saved my life that day.
After that, we don’t snatch anything anymore, just brute force from a winch or equal, or bigger machine. I also broke a 11,000lb lifting sling fairly easy with my M925 trying to pull out the 45,000 loader. 
Now I use 40,000lb lifting straps for the big stuff.

We all know that the last picture is supposed to look like a recovery but we know the dozer is just trying to take the 5 ton for a mud bath.

Nope, I’m very capable of holding my beer, and doing stupid sheet at the same time. Also you can actually feel snatch straps “bottoming out” before they break or start breaking other things. If you stretch far enough that you get a noticeable jolt before rebound, it’s time to try something else. Lifting straps stretch very little.

If jerking on the -strap- is anticipated, and who doesn't jerk on them, then a dynamic -strap- is called for. There is a category of recovery devices called a kenetic rope. I carry a 30 ft Bubba Rope rated at something like 100k lbs in the LMTV. Haven't used that heavy one yet but they work. I have used a 3/4 inch rope with smaller truck, 404 Unimog, and it works great. Check out Matt's Offroad Recovery on youtube. Of course a kenetic rope would work as a tow strap too.

Yup.
Like I said, about 95% of stucks that I have resolved, have been resolved with nothing more than a kinetic energy strap.

Also look into "soft shackles" that won't take out your tailgate if something breaks.
