Bought new LED Head Lights to put on?

Put the New LED's on and only have a High Beam on drivers side and nothing else?? Heading to see my doctor in a few but will look into it later? Both were wired the same and I checked fuses but seems there on a 15A Auto Fuse and one was working so it must be good??? I did look around for a while for a splice or junction near the bumper but the wires go into the harnesses. Got me a little stumped will break out the meter when I get back around lunch time I have a 200 mile drive first!

Going out to put 2 new lights on the Cab then pull the Head Lights and test for power and double check what I did at the end of the day.

Some good new they scoped my nose and throat no Cancer seen in it which is good my Brother died of Throat Cancer. They still need to check at the stomach opening she could not go that far another doctor does that?

That is Great News JD4044M !

Seems that specialty medicine is the way they make a buck - OR - more likely that the insurance companies won't insure them to do everything. That part sucks. And always going to a different doctor seems like a real pain.

- The LED lights on my first truck were "out of the salvage yard" Jeep LED headlights. Not sure if the guy who wired mine hooked it up backward or what. Bright was Dim and the other way around.

Might be possible to check out the numbers on the wire tags and see if something got plugged in wrong on yours. Gotta remember that these trucks sometimes got "unauthorized" repairs, so that might be what you are fighting in your MV.

OK I got lights at least on one side and the Passenger Side would work if the Neg/Grd was working?? Wire 91 on Passenger Side Head Light is not going to Ground at all? I just need to get the Ground working and would love to find the place these wires go to for the Grounds in the dash/cab? I have looked for the ground cable that flexes so the Cab can Tilt might be in a harness, drivers side, bumper area? The LED Head Lights are nice and bright!! Tested both and I put the new side light on which are way brighter the other ones were. I went to stainless steel Allen Head bolts much easier to deal with since you need bolts about 1/4" longer then originals. Very tempted to get some cut to size Lexan Lenses for these LED Head Lights. They have plastic lenses and would scratch up easy. A cover flush with the bumper just behind the opening should work.DSCF6999.JPGDSCF6997.JPG

Searched here and found a newer M1078 A0 mine is a 95 numbers don't match. They still use a separate ground each head light to the Chassis Ground so that is what I am looking for. Got Dark enough for a test of new 600W LED Side Flood lights and the Front Light Bar. Very happy with all of them now. Sure don't need more light. In fact some hidden small LED Lights under the frame would be nice for walking around the truck at night and still be dark not in yours or others eyes. Each Picture is just of one light on at a time. When all on well it is Brite!@! Took side light looking over the roof and the front light sitting in the driver seat.DSCF7002.JPGDSCF7005.JPG

Solved the issue with the Head Light Ground on one side only. It was a busted wire inside the insulation at a crimp connecting the new jack for the LED Light! Took a while to find that one and it was Right in my FACE the whole time. That is OK keeps me on my toes thinking harder to find stuff. Having been a Commercial Electrician for 45 years plus found that a few times in communication cables and a dead wire problem!! These trucks are well wired and should have little problems. Bad Alternators can cause a boat load of problems in time on the system!DSCF7017.JPG

Those are the world class JW Speaker LED headlights. Made in USA. I have them on several trucks too, look great illuminate perfect.
Hope you keep getting good diagnosis.
Which model light is it? Was there any fitment issues?

Forgetting about the I got to have the "it is in style best" that is gong to cost you but I am more of a do the same job with less cost on the disposable add on stuff.

So, I would say that it is quite obvious that I don't need heated lights. Dang!
Even if it is snowing and sleeting, I will just have summer and winter lighting...

  1. The good LED lights really are WAY better, both in terms of performance and reliability. The cheap Chinese lights use cheap electronic components that are not rated to survive high temperatures. If you've bought a cheap LED home lightbulb, and then put it in an older enclosed fixture meant for an incandescent bulb, you may have noticed that it failed in <1 year of regular use, way sooner than the "10,000 hours" claimed on the box.
  2. The headlights are inset pretty far in the bumper. If you're breaking them, I'm curious what you're doing. I beat the hell out of mine, including driving through 6' high brush, and they're fine.

I have designed a Lexan cover that is cheap and easy to replace. Will show when I get the Lexan to work with. Not so much worried about busting them as scratching the Lens up keeping them clean. At this point I have owned the truck about a year and have not drove it at night? One day/night I will take it for a night drive and see how many people complain about the brightness??

A buddy has a set of real JW Speaker lights on one of his trucks, and Chinese knockoffs on some of his other trucks.

He says the main difference is that the range and reach of the high beams is substantially more on the real ones.

I'm interested in seeing your lexan covers. Be sure to post them up...
