Yermo pickup is great. I never had a problem. I was told that they wait to send stuff in bundles and I think that’s where the wait comes into play

Yep that I can confirm. My SF97 was sent in a group of 150 of them. They’re telling me end of this month to first week of next month. Shall see.

Just received a response from GovPlanet regarding my SF97 which was applied for on 7/19/22:

"According to our records, we show that your SF97 for item#[redacted] was sent off to USMC for signature on 10/26/2022. We send these off in batches to USMC for signature and they are only allowing 150 per batch at the moment, which doesn't allow us to empty our queue each time. At this time now that it has been sent off for signature it typically takes the USMC 30-35 business days for us to receive it back from them."

A little frustrating, but at least they are being transparent about it.

yea... they told me the same thing, and I've been waiting for the batch that mine is in to come back since August 31st :(

they're definitely backed up pretty far

Just called them for fun, they say that the batch mine is in was due back by the end of last month, so at this point it's officially considered delayed. They supposedly received an update from the Marine Corps saying they'll be sending some back soon, not holding my breath though.

The government takes forever to do anything. If they were a business they would be out of business a LONG time ago.

Zero out of 5 stars, do not recommend.

Yea.. is what it is sadly. I wonder what the current EUC wait times are however, have another truck pending EUC approval to pick up from Yermo. Last 2 trucks took 2 weeks back around May.

Some updates for everyone:

I won a parts truck on 10/26, got the release form today on 11/8. The EUCs themselves have been clearing pretty quickly

I also procured a MEP-804B Generator recently, no EUC required but I did request the SF97 for it. The SF97 took about 3 weeks after having received the unit.

I spoke to GovPlanet again recently as well, the big disconnect with the SF97s according to them is whether the Marine Corps or DLA (does DLA handle trucks that the Army retired?) is handling the item/SF97 forms. DLA is supposedly quick, the Corps seem to have a huge backlog, where my original truck is still stuck waiting for the form. While the SF97s are taking months, I've had 3 GovPlanet reps all tell me that the EUCs have been flying off the shelves in a few days (better to have your purchase in your possession quick at least)

I've got another turbo truck that was won on 11/2 as well, will keep this updated with the wait times on that truck.

Alrighty here’s the scoop:

I went to the DMV to have the title generated from the SF97. Filled out all the paperwork, had the checks filled out to pay the tax and title fees, and was about to have the submit the forms. The estimated time to receive a title is 4-12 weeks, temporary plates are not an option due to it being a “special” case.

Anyway, as I’m about to have them button up the title forms, the supervisor at this specific DMV came by and realized I’m titling a military vehicle.

They said that while they can title it, I don’t really have any options in terms of putting a plate on it. The body style box on the SF97 has “HMMWV” printed on it, which doesn’t fall into any pre-existing plate categories, thus there’s nothing to classify it under, as opposed to civilian vehicles being “SUV”, “Sedan”, etc

I held off on the title process after getting all the details, exploring what other options I can look into. I’m still likely going to title it in IL, that way the vehicle is at least fully under me and I have proper transferability paperwork as well. Need to do some research on how else I can procure a plate. I heard someone say something about IL having MV plates that just aren’t commonly available/listed as a normal option, no idea how credible this info is.

Anyway, at least for IL, you’ll need the following to get a title generated:

-SF97
-SF97 Re-assignment sheet (mailed together from govplanet)
-Bill of Sale
-Proof of origin state tax payment on Govplanet invoice

Will follow up again once I figure out what I’m doing lol

I just bought some parts from a guy in Illinois last year that had a humvee for years. He was notified by the state that they pulled his titled because military humvee's we're not allowed on Illinois roads. You might be better off going the llc route. Dirtlegal will get you plates too.

Fastest EUC in the west.. 1 minute. I did submit it the day prior so I wouldn't be surprised if the system updates daily and it was both submitted and approved the day before so it looks like this. Pure SWAG - scientific wild ass guess.

Nice! My "submitted" and "approved" emails came in just seconds apart as well. Had the truck home just 9 days after winning it.
