    Third's Build Discussion

Agree. I want to incorporate one of these drive away awnings/rooms that can be set up and left as a base camp of sorts if need be. Longer stays and even a rain room for gloomy weather and you want to spread out a bit...

That would almost fit in the spot (but I only have 14" between shower and door) . I looked at a couple folding sinks (I'd like to have one at the food prep station on the trailer when it comes). But they get pretty expensive. The shower and head are separate. And while I was originally going...

    So I bought a trailer... (M1101)

. Welcome to the Outfit! Seems like you already know that we are "Picture Hounds" and you have already contributed to feed that need :) . Have to agree, being able to back up the truck - hook it up and go - is absolutely the best trailer camping choice. Would love to see what you come up...

    So I bought a trailer... (M1101)

Hello all, Just bought my first mil surp trailer, a 2012 Shutt M1101 in woodland camo. The previous owner bought it at auction, hauled it locally, did all the paperwork, registered it with a permanent trailer plate and serviced the wheel hubs. It's in really good shape and probably not ever...

And I Thought Their Cars Were Ugly...

That's the one! I can say, from first hand experience, they are a very complicated vehicle. Gimmie a deuce or 5t any day. Easy to work on. The War Pig was cool though! The guy that owned it is just up the road from me. He used to have a Haflinger, a Vampire, a couple of Mogs, one was a rare...

I’m looking for M1101 camper conversion.

looks like one could not stand in that trailer. In such situations IMHO design the whole thing like one would be designing something for a wheelchair user. Use a rollling chair inside yourself. Aka.. design it so you actually NEVER have to stand up. You have to really think outside the box...

Any CK owners on the forum?

Containerized Kitchen for those who don't have one. At $355,000 a smack when new! If you do have one, please contact me as soon as possible. If you don't have a CK, just pass on by - they are not for the faint of heart. They were built to feed 650-700 troops three meals a day with five cooks...

What did you do to your trailer today.

But you have never gotten a whiff of my 7-11 burrito out gassing. You would climb over Mount Everest to get away from it! On a side note you do remember that is just my storage trailer and it was easer to put it there for now out of my way.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Hey, just what we all need is a seat less no flush toilet that is mounted in the door way ready for a kitchen fire to fall over trying to get out of the trailer. The fire marshall would not approve, muchless the codes inspector.

MKT-75 It started out that I wanted to make a tactical burger.

Stretch them. You have three sizes, the longest goes on the sides, then the middle piece should have 'fire exit' painted on the inside - that part goes in the middle, then the smallest panel goes over the remaining part of the end. Remember, the military generally had this smallest part open...

    M116A3 Trailer/Camping Project

Hello everyone and I'm new to Steel Soldiers. I recently purchased an M116A3 trailer with generator removed. Its in great condition, looks to be about 33 years old by the data plate. Was manufactured by Turtle Mountain Manufacturing. I am looking to add a rack to it and put a RTT on the top of...

    long cargo trailer

I have built two types with the 20 ft military bed configuration. One is on a bolster trailer. It works well and runs on the standard bolster trailer tires. I use this for lighter loads...usually collecting baled hay from the field. See the photos including the photos of my M35A3 connected to...

M116A3 - First Overland Trailer Build!

The M116A3 makes a nice platform for an off road capable camper trailer. I have a 1991 model year that I built a custom camper on. Here is my build thread: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=62581 I took a lot of inspiration from the ROAM trailer build which used an M116A2. That build...

WHO' S A FULL TIME LMTV OVERLANDER, ANY OUT THERE?

Any form of "donated" is good. While I'll never be one to share my build, ideas, or travels for sponsorship or monetization, I *do* accept donations. My nephew has a little pod camper that was about six years old. They rarely used it as an 18' camper was too small for a family of four (now...

    Thanks for the add

This site helped me determine which military trailer would work with my JKU. I picked up my M101a2 last night. I hope to get ideas on hooking it up for use as a cargo trailer with kitchen, cover, drawers, and rack of some sort. Also wanting to apply undercoating and a bed liner.
