    Windshield retainer question

I would second this, drill the cheap part not the expensive part

    Windshield retainer question

Chiming in here - Black Dog Customs has the ECV/REV spaced retainers that are made for the standard thin reproduction glass. A little bit of filing required for the holes but every humvee is a little different anyway. 1/4-20x1” bolts

    X DOORS

I’ve dealt with 3 sets of the west Kentucky doors, they’re pretty much an exact copy of the original x doors with the same design shortcomings lol They’re pretty easy to install however and adjustments are quick. That being said, I still haven’t found better ones. Plan B Trucks has their...

    Clogged Up Catalytic Converter?

On top of that I definitely heard the turbo at that point, woke it up like I would never have expected.

    Clogged Up Catalytic Converter?

I think we spoke about this on my 1151 thread, I just drove the truck without the cat for a few miles to see what it felt like. Drove like a beast after I yanked it. Did you drive it after removing? Just don’t go for too long because your down pipe heats up the trans tunnel pretty quick heh

    HMMWV Question....

Actually now that I look it seems you literally did just buy a chassis and no engine, so I guess don’t worry too much about my CDR blurb lol

    HMMWV Question....

The air lines are vents. During normal operation, it’s just an escape path for any pressure that builds when components get hot. When fording water and you have the switch flipped, the system is supposed to put a slight amount of positive air pressure into all components with a vent line...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I did the same thing, but when the runflats are covered in lube/grease then you look like a dog that just rolled in fresh droppings when finished.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I feel like that might cause an imbalance with both of them not being tight against the rims and just bouncing around the outer wall of the tire.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Oh - well I’ve got a local guy, not a chain. He did the lock ring tires/wheels on my deuce, may be willing to give these a try. Shall find out heh

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Oh I’ve already done it a while back, new BFG Bajas on mine. I yanked the run flat out by using 2 trucks pulling apart, similar to @Coug I just have to do it on another 8 tires soon is what I’m not looking forward to lol

    M1123 brakes

That definitely works too lol I didn’t want to remove the calipers and bleed the system again. I put fresh fluid in a few months back. That tool really makes the rear pad job a breeze and quick. I don’t even remove the undercarriage protection bars. Just the parking brake cable clips and 2...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

My most dreaded part is honestly the run flat insert. Ratchet strapping and prying that thing is pretty lame. Makes me wonder if a tire shop could at least handle that part if I bring them the tires and run flats.

A Makin me want some 24 bolt wheels for myself heh

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I should probably keep my paperwork in the vehicle too but last time I got lit up the cop was more curious about how to get one himself 🤣 I’m a little paranoid about keeping paperwork in a semi-half-kinda-locked-but-not-really vehicle as well lol Where’d you source the big cans from? I see...

ooh fun, what flavor of spinny thing :P

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Finally got to finishing the camo on my 1043, though I fudged a spot on the hood and need to sand / respray a small area. Was a little hard to reach (probably should’ve just raised the hood) and I sprayed too thick of a layer of brown, so it left a very odd shiny spot. Other than that, painting...

    Crankshaft Pulleys

Heya all, Starting this thread out of curiosity to see what everyone's been doing with their crank pulleys. The non-geared-fan-drive pulleys are no longer available new from AMG, and the geared-fan-drive pulleys supposedly work but just cost more than they should. Anyone have stellar luck with...

    1151 Power Loss

I suppose you could remove the rear end of the driveshaft from the diff but that’s the only other way I see.
