    Oil filler neck removal

I did this yesterday on my friend's truck whilst yanking his injection pump, you've gotta pull the studs out so you can slide the plate forward. It was a lot easier on my M1043A2 with the Red Dot system, no annoying plate in the way, only had to remove the belt. Basically: - Remove belt -...

    Humvee Injection Pump Timing

Funny thing is, there’s a proper procedure for civvie trucks that have the electric pump (DS4 I think). I believe the proper term is TDC Offset. But here I am going off of noise levels, assumptions, and well wishes 😂

    Humvee Injection Pump Timing

Hm, alright thanks for confirming! Contemplating if I want to retard the timing on my truck now or just leave it haha With the extra few degrees of the cold advance as well it sounds like a jackhammer on a cold start 😁 My only fear would be accidentally tearing the gasket, because we all know...

    Humvee Injection Pump Timing

Quick question / thread hopefully, has anyone seen timing this far to the right side (retarded) on a 6.5L NA engine? Working on a friend’s truck and the timing marks are just super far off to the right compared to what I’ve been led to believe is normal. The truck is a 2001 M1123, compared to my...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

All new Bajas are installed, I’d like to say that the ride feels smoother and you don’t feel as much of every small bump on the road. I’ve been letting the belt wear in some more and it has certainly also gotten quieter, few more hours of runtime and I think it’ll be shut up again. Also -...

    New MEP-804B Owner

Yep! Figured I’d not touch things like that while it’s running as well, flipped it while it was off.

    New MEP-804B Owner

Welp this was a fun escapade, fender to fender was 96” wide The loading dock door I was working with was 95” So basically it turned into a game of how quickly can we unbolt one of the fenders and lift it out of the way. Took about 20 minutes with 3 of us, and then we proceeded to pull it off...

    New MEP-804B Owner

Got a loading dock that's 94-95" wide, will know if this goes south real quick or not in a few days 😂 Thanks for the find!

    New MEP-804B Owner

Anyone know the exact actual width of an M200A1 trailer from fender to fender? Currently trying to see if it'll fit through a loading dock.

    New MEP-804B Owner

Yea figured as such but figured I’d ask heh, what’s the largest you’d find a humvee towing in any case? a 5kw 802?

    New MEP-804B Owner

Sooo, I just became the owner of a 2009 MEP-804B off GovPlanet. Should be arriving sometime this week. Not really sure what I’m getting into but that’s part of the fun. Will post some pictures once it arrives, I’ve got a general idea of what I’m doing but nothing in depth, it runs and generates...

    M35A2 Aftermarket Radiator Install Thread

Welp this project is all buttoned up for now. I’m not a fan of how many hose clamps I ended up with on the top hose section, I’ll likely try to consolidate all this down the line but at least she’s back up and running for now. Luckily there are no leaks though :P Here’s a vid of it running...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

So I looked very very closely with the truck running, and realized that the new belt has wore itself a tiny new path on the idler pulley. Can see it as the thin black line compared the rest of the pulley being rust colored. The belt doesn’t seem to slide around or be coming off track anywhere...

    M35A2 Aftermarket Radiator Install Thread

That’s awesome, happy to see another example of it! Able to post some pictures of your mounts? Am curious how someone else approached that part compared to my angle iron method. I actually just got all my hoses in today, mine looks a little … bizarre but it doesn’t bother me 😂 Ended up using...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

Adding that to my list of things to check, I'll look closely right after startup as well while the start box is pulsing and surging the generator load. I think I have the mount system in this post, as I recall seeing that thick curved bracket...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

Well the funny thing is that this is in fact a new belt, old one didn’t do this and this one just started doing it recently after I got the AC working. Maybe there’s a little more drag on the compressor now and that’s whats causing it? (It does happen with AC both on and off) It was pretty...

    GovPlanet Humvee Arrival and Inspection

Alright wow it might actually be the belt. I dripped some water while it was running and the squeak goes away for a few seconds. I’ll try flipping the belt to go the other direction, if it persists I’ll try a different brand of belt. It just really sounded like an aggressive squeak to be the...

    M35A2 Aftermarket Radiator Install Thread

Yea I may come up slightly short but I won’t know till I get the other elbow, hasn’t arrived yet. Hopefully it all fits but we’ll see.

    M35A2 Aftermarket Radiator Install Thread

Some of the hoses came in today, I've got a better idea of how it'll all come together now. Will need a little longer section of 1.5" hose it seems like, will document once it's all in. I must say, neon blue in a deuce is quite the sight.
