The pool of knowledge on this site and the number of grade A members who have served.................it's really something.
We have here the gentleman who owns this thing, someone who worked on it, several guys who are knowledgeable on recovery of this aircraft...the story of what...
I have always thought the M747's were just plain sexy. Fortunately I haven't been able to think of an excuse.....errr, reason to own one, cause that would mean also having to buy a truck that could pull it. Anyone know of a smaller, but similar-looking trailer that would work behind a 5-ton...
I'd think you could get maybe $150-200 for the hard top, if it's solid. Better get it before some rock crawler buys it for the axles and throws that motor on its lid on a concrete floor.....but I'd do a little negotiating on that price...;)
Well Hello to a fellow OD sickness victim! I doubt anyone but me would find my MVs beautiful in their current condition, but hopefully with more time invested in them that will change...

Hmm - brings back...
Agreed... the 10-bolt is a POS and the Gov-Lok is a bigger POS. Neither are suitable for 35s, towing OR wheeling - or worth the cost of a set of gears. You can bet your ass a couple guys will jump on saying they've wheeled or towed for 3,000,000 miles without a failure, but that would be the...
Anyone have a pic of a 5-ton tractor pulling an M747? I would love to see one - curious about the proportions - ****, my M139 is already overwidth...:-D
