Sounds like the price is pretty negotiable - he saved it from certain death, but doesn't need it - like most of us, he just couldn't bear to see it destroyed, and "had" to intervene. He doesn't seem to have any real interest in the truck, as his interest is early Bronco parts, if that helps...
I would think the winch would be worth a few extra bucks.
Trucks in that condition are pretty hard to come by in my neck of the woods, so I guess out here we pay "too much" when something decent comes along.
1943 GI 6x6 - $1000 - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board=
The pics aren't coming up on his post, but he sent me a couple. This truck has a ton of potential, and I would love to see it go to someone here before someone on Pirate......he is in Fresno County, CA - way too far for me, or I'd be...
Any interest in a CHEAP M135 in South Dakota?
Trying to save another one from the torch/crusher......
A friend of mine picked this up recently, and has no real interest in the MV hobby. It is near Aberdeen, SD, and it sounds like the price is very negotiable. In fact, I don't know if he even...

Any progress to report?

Close, but 1 inch actually equals 25.4 mm.
Using the info on the sidewall is not a precise method of measuring size. It'll get you in the ballpark, but don't make any important decisions without getting the true dimensions.
Yeah, they are cool. I've got a couple pics of one with duals all around - course they were probably 7.25-20s, but still look pretty tough.
Thanks for the info.
There are a couple pics somewhere of a bridge truck with 16.00's dualled. I'll have to find them again. The sidewalls were close, as you could imagine, but I think they would work.
I have finally made some real progress on my truck. Late last week, I finally got my title back from the state after a fairly lengthy wait due to a "make" discrepancy on the title, then yesterday I got my new plates and registration in the mail :-D.
I am pretty happy about this - was...
Please don't start a transmission argument here - it's likely to quickly "devolve" into a thread very similar to that one from another dreamer awhile back......Mr. "I'm here to stay"......what the heck was his name again?
