M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

i will do this, but even when i unhook the linkage and moved the valve body lever by hand its harder than snot to move also i found what appears to be a drain for the hydraulic fluid on the bottom of the tank.... not sure there is a way to drain the valve body or pump without taking it apart
  14. R

M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

Ok. How much force does it take you to move the lever? On mine it is extremely hard to move.....the pump gears etc etc are lubricated by the hydraulic fluid correct?

M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

Yep something is for sure up with the valve body....I can't feel any positive detents besides off or up....and even unhooking the control rods and moving it by hand didn't make a difference there is simply no positive engagement in the power down....does anyone know about the pump and valve...

M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

what im considering doing is completely unhooking the rods etc and moving them all by hand to see if they are free or bound up. id also like to change the hydraulic fluid and add a filter on the return line. Does one of the TM's show where to drain the system from and which house is what etc etc?

a question for any of you who own one of these rare birds.... Is there a process or something to check to see for proper adjustment of the lever and rods etc? It seems that there is two rods underneath that have threaded adjustments on them. To me its seems that if this was out of adjustment it...

M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

yep something is for sure out of whack..... it will power up all day long, but cant get it to power down following the TM process. When i pull it up out of the Power Up position its really hard and nothing happens, so im going to check all the linkages and go from there.
