    I am finished

Beautiful truck. I'd love to have one of those. My wife's on board for a Power Wagon. The guy I bought my deuce from years ago had two and she was all over them. They were too pricey for our taste, though.

    Lets See Your 5-Ton!

I didn't see it with my own eyes but I heard that an "army truck" (as reported by a person who didn't know what model it was) got stuck at the event (before I got there) and it took a big track hoe and some sort of front loader to get it out. Maybe rrrr can elaborate. There were at least three...

    M35a2 Cab Heater Core

Me, too......where'd you get the new core? I ended up getting a used one from Memphis Equipment for my 5 ton after hearing all sorts of "ludicrous $$$ for a new one" horror stories. My old one was beyond repair-damage was well into the core, not just a tube or tank seam leak. :(

Looking For Some Answers - Or Not

The fuel solenoid is an easy job. It was inop on my M923 from Fort Leonard Wood. Picked one up for $52 delivered from C&C. Artisan's previous pictures and explanations of the manual shut-off and solenoid bypass thumbscrew are outstanding. Great info. Somewhere in the TM's I recall seeing a...

Oh Dear Lord! I just bought a 5 ton from Ft Rucker in AL. Now what?

Hey moretoys! All of the above recommendations for retrieval are fantastic. Heed them. I brought entirely too much stuff with me when I set out on my journey but, thankfully, I didn't need but a tenth of it. Ahhh..... I drove my GL acquisition about 125 miles home without incident. Let me...

Congrats! Looks like a really solid deuce. Shorten the stock bed if you're going to bob it. I'm kinda partial to that.....see my avatar. ;)

M939 Front Axle Boot replacement.....how I did it.....

Hello all, I have to say, that was a LOT less "painful" than I expected. My 1984 M923 was oozing grease and the boots were "crispy" to say the least. Anyway, I elected to replace both even though the driver side was barely leaking.....we all know it was on borrowed time. The insides of my...

    M923 M939 VIN location....where I found mine.....

Hey guys, I'm waiting patiently for the SF97. I spoke with poolmike and it seemed his was right at about 30 days? Not bad. 3 and a half weeks is cool, too. :) With the holiday in there, it may slow things a bit.

    M923 M939 VIN location....where I found mine.....

Hello all, After doing numerous searches, I couldn't find a definitive VIN location for my M923. So I spent a little while looking closely at my driver front frame rail and found what appeared to be a stamping barely showing through the paint layers. Sure enough, after some brake cleaner and...

    5 ton heater pics

Heater Core Hose location..... I snapped this picture today. My core is leaking slightly so I'm going to replace it. Wanted a picture to compare the inlet location. At least this will give you an idea of where the hoses are on the heater box. The bottom of the pic is the firewall and this...

    Andy1234 Comes Through

A big thanks to Andy for the use of his tire-fill hose on my M923 retrieval and his taking the time to brief me on the operation of the rig. He's a top notch guy.

    RRAD rebuild question

Thanks, sandcobra! I enjoyed building that deuce. Bobbing it totally changed the truck-for the better. I could go on for hours. I'd love to do the same to my M923 but it's the logistics of moving even BIGGER parts around that is a little hard to wrap my brain around......and the ABS.....and...
