I only have experience with vinyl so don't know which is better for sure. I would guess vinyl. Search classifieds on here and look on ebay for covers. Lots out there, especially since you don't need the bows/etc.
As for side pics, it's raining its ass off here today so I'll snap some side...
This weeks project was installing my new cargo cover and cab cover in vinyl. First picture is of truck as I bought it about 6 weeks ago. Then new tires/muffler and now new vinyl. Hopefully be putting my air-o-matic on this weekend. Then I'll be in the market for some air ride seats.
I'm confused. You say it allows people to pay what they want for something? The very moment the auction begins everyone gets that chance, correct? If you bid what you think is a fair price, or the max you want to pay and someone else bids with 10 seconds left and out bids you how did they do...
If it's in good shape that price is not out of line from a private party. You don't have to go through the hassle and mystery of a GL auction and $700 for the winch(installed?) and trailer is a good price. You have the benefit of kicking the tires and taking it for a spin from a private seller.
I just converted my primary/secondary fuel and oil filters last weekend. Got oil kit from westfolk and fuel from Jatonka(decided to spread the wealth). Both kits fit/worked perfect. Definetly a worth while mod(IMO).
I thought about painting my deuce flat black. Did my pick-up and it turned out really good. Sanded the **** out of it, then sanded some more. Did it with spray cans. It's tough to do, but if you take your time it will trun out good. Don't cheap out on the paint either get good cans with triggers...
Definately interested in this mod. Post some more pics when ya get it done. Looking good so far. I have ran K&N on every car and truck I could and love them. Pay for themselves rather quickly, just gotta keep them clean.
