The hot rod parts market has been hit HARD. SO many of the parts (intake manifolds, ignitions, cylinder heads, etc.) are blatant clones of USA-engineered (and most times patented? Edelbrock, for example) items. I can't say I'm surprised abouto the ARB's. Standard fare: tried and proven design...

That is an interesting idea for a Deuce. That's a LONG driveshaft! The one in the video has lift blocks on it. Those links on the rear axle are a necessity with blocks.

Hey CT! Thanks for the compliment. You have NO idea how pleased I am with the finished product. I've had it to three car shows in the past month and I'm positively slammed with curious folks asking all sorts of questions and pouring on the compliments....makes all the blood and sweat...

I couldn't be more pleased with my Donaldson. It's an industrial muffler (built like a vault) and no matting/packing to blow out or get sooted up over time. I lost around 11 dB at idle. And the exhaust note is awesome. VERY deep. The whistle is still there. :beer:

I didn't have to modify my driveshaft at all. I only moved the axle back about 2"-to center it in the bed. And there's PLENTY of splineage in the front driveshaft to accomodate it. Many miles later and I have zero complaints or problems to report.

The noise reduction has be amazing. BUT then you're left with the symphony of engine and driveline "in-cab music" screaming in your ear. :mrgreen: I imagine I'll run mine out the back sometime in the future. I'll definitely re-use my present Donaldson muffler.....it's very compact and does...

Here in Missouri, the GVWR drives whether or not a vehicle is bumper height limited. 11,501+ GVWR is exempt. Below that, bumper height is limited to 29" front, 31" rear.

That's exactly what I did, initially. And it worked GREAT! VERY straightforward project. Any questions, PM me. Shortly thereafter, I swapped on the HEMTT wheels and 395 Michelin's. MUCH better! 8)

I'm figuring I gained about 7 mph. HEMTT wheels and Michelin's, tubeless. And let me tell you, I couldn't be more pleased. See my avatar. I mounted them myself and it was VERY easy. The only "hard" part is the weight of the rims and the tires, the rest is very self-explanatory.
