    Well put, Travis. Thanks.

    Counterfeit ARB Lockers

Whew. Sorry about the confusion. I enjoy Wreckerman too much to give him a hard time. So many things.....as you said, the pet food, kids toys with lead....the McDonalds Shrek glasses with lead in the paint, the toothpastes that had something horrible in them (wasn't it like...

    Counterfeit ARB Lockers

The hot rod parts market has been hit HARD. SO many of the parts (intake manifolds, ignitions, cylinder heads, etc.) are blatant clones of USA-engineered (and most times patented? Edelbrock, for example) items. I can't say I'm surprised abouto the ARB's. Standard fare: tried and proven design...

    full length 4x4 deuce

That is an interesting idea for a Deuce. That's a LONG driveshaft! The one in the video has lift blocks on it. Those links on the rear axle are a necessity with blocks.

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Hey RANDYDIRT, That's the beauty of these bobbers-the only limit is your imagination and there is no "one way" to build them. You like the M105? Roll with it and enjoy it! I'd go out on a limb to say that is the most popular bed choice. More often than not, folks ask me if my bed dumps. I...

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

WOW! That looks outstanding, RANDYDIRT. When it's done, it'll look like a restoration, not a modified Deuce. Which bed will you use? Great job.

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Hey CT! Thanks for the compliment. You have NO idea how pleased I am with the finished product. I've had it to three car shows in the past month and I'm positively slammed with curious folks asking all sorts of questions and pouring on the compliments....makes all the blood and sweat...

    Deuce muffler option

I couldn't be more pleased with my Donaldson. It's an industrial muffler (built like a vault) and no matting/packing to blow out or get sooted up over time. I lost around 11 dB at idle. And the exhaust note is awesome. VERY deep. The whistle is still there.

    Bobbed Deuce Options

I didn't have to modify my driveshaft at all. I only moved the axle back about 2"-to center it in the bed. And there's PLENTY of splineage in the front driveshaft to accomodate it. Many miles later and I have zero complaints or problems to report.

    Rear exhaust pics

The noise reduction has be amazing. BUT then you're left with the symphony of engine and driveline "in-cab music" screaming in your ear. I imagine I'll run mine out the back sometime in the future. I'll definitely re-use my present Donaldson muffler.....it's very compact and does...

    Deuce Hubs

Here's a direct link to Summit's site for the hubs above: Mile Marker 11162-01 - Mile Marker Transfer Cases - Overview - SummitRacing.com There's a bit of a lead time on 'em, though: shows an estimated ship date of 9/20/10. Summit's awesome, though. I've used them for years. But don't...

    Tubes required for super singles?

Here in Missouri, the GVWR drives whether or not a vehicle is bumper height limited. 11,501+ GVWR is exempt. Below that, bumper height is limited to 29" front, 31" rear.

    Deuce muffler option

I used the Donaldson muffler and couldn't be more pleased. Great sound and an impressive dB reduction. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/54990-muffler-installation-db-comparison.html

2 month old split axle boots

Oh man.....NOT what I wanted to hear. I'm SO glad this thread came back up! I was planning on ordering them this evening! THAT was a close call. Can anyone vouch for a specific vendor? I'll pay twice as much as Saturn wants, if it saves me doing the repair over and over and.........

    Bobbed Deuce Options

That's exactly what I did, initially. And it worked GREAT! VERY straightforward project. Any questions, PM me. Shortly thereafter, I swapped on the HEMTT wheels and 395 Michelin's. MUCH better! 8)

2 month old split axle boots

I'm in need of zippered boots and was thinking of ordering from Saturn (as well as several other parts for my Deuce). So there are issues with Saturn boot quality? :( I do notice a serious price difference between Deuce parts vendors......offshore vs. USA? I'll gladly pay more money for a...

    Tubes required for super singles?

I'm figuring I gained about 7 mph. HEMTT wheels and Michelin's, tubeless. And let me tell you, I couldn't be more pleased. See my avatar. I mounted them myself and it was VERY easy. The only "hard" part is the weight of the rims and the tires, the rest is very self-explanatory.

cost of ownership (the real cost of a deuce)

These big boys do require a lot of time to give the maintenance they deserve. But thank goodness parts are so readily available and quite reasonable most of the time. Prepare for a LOT of tinkering and the expense that goes along with it. Me? I love the tinkering part. :) If you're...

    What mama wants......

My wife wants one, too! I'll be darned. When I got my Deuce, the same guy had two M37's there as well. She loved them......but the price quickly made her veer the other way-well over twice my Deuce's price.
