    Lockout lube

A "locker" is a differential. As in "Detroit Locker". It's a mechanical ratcheting differential that eliminates the clutches of a limited slip diff. MUCH stronger but MUCH more aggressive, too. Most of the time, they "click" when you go around turns as the engage and disengage. I've used them...

    Lockout lube

It really is one of THE easiest things you'll ever do to your Deuce. The AVM's I put on my deuce really were a "remove the original end cap and replace with lockout assembly" deal. Don't over-think it. And OH the improvement. You're in for a treat.

    My bobber is finally done!

Speaking of that........ I went to Target in it the other day. Came out and there was an F350 parked next to me. My how small they look next to a bobbed Deuce. :-D

    My bobber is finally done!

You're right Billy Bobbed...... These big boys are never "done". The list of "to-do's" never ends. But for now? I'm good. [thumbzup]

    My bobber is finally done!

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. Nothing I wanted more than to hear my rig being accepted by my fellow compadres on SS. I can't emphasize enough how much easier it is to drive and maneuver now. Not to mention, I've had THREE people stop by and ask "what do you want for it?". It's...

    My bobber is finally done!

I had pictures attached to it. That's strange......where'd they go? aua Anyway, here they are again. Enjoy! [thumbzup]

    My bobber is finally done!

Hello all! First, a big thanks to all who gave me input here on SS. Couldn't have done it without you! A big thanks to my brothers for stopping by to lend a hand with the HEAVY stuff and my buddy's service truck crane to get the bed off and on. In the course of a week of vacation, I worked...

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

No sir, they're converted HEMTT wheels. Got them from Rodney Feltz in WI. The tires and wheels were surprisingly easy to mount and inflate! Just heavy and awkward.

    power issues

Gimpy, you hit the nail on the head. What would a Cad 500 and a 400 turbo automatic take off the nose? I'm thinking 1500+ lbs.? [thumbzup] Heck, that combo would be a BLAST on the street, too. I'd probably have wheel hop issues on my bobber with that much torque and, no kidding, it'd probably...

    power issues

500 Caddy all the way. They don't like RPM's unless you want to spend a ton of money on valvetrain parts to make 'em live. BUT keep them below 5000-5200? And you'll have a BLAST! Gross torque rating back in '70 was 550 lbs.. That's diesel torque on gas. Sorry to ramble. :)

    power issues

Those monsters would have to produce a massive drag on the motor. AND....let's not forget STOPPING those massive tires! That could be a hair-raising experience. Going from my 9.00-20's to the 395's (46") on my bobber made a pronounced difference in braking.

    m101 bed vs m105 bed

I'm partial to the shortened stock bed since it does retain the Deuce's original "look". See my Bobber on my Avatar. Second would be the M105. Third, the M101. Doesn't the M101 really need fender extensions to make it dimensionally correct on a Deuce?

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Finally! Hello all, I JUST finished mine. Got the big wheels and tires on last weekend. Other than the occasional "extra set of hands" to lift the big stuff, I did it all myself. I'm not a big M105 or M101 bed fan so I stuck with shortening the stocker three feet. I shortened the troop...

    Turbo Boost Gauge

There are 6 on fee-bay right now. But they don't look like Otter's. Terrible pictures or no pictures on the auctions.......

    My Parade float

GREAT pics! I'm dying to take my Deuce's top off. Sounds like a job for next week. :)

    HEMTT rim 0-ring?

Thanks for all the responses, folks! [thumbzup] I also had a friend who works at the local John Deere dealer tell me about a commercial tire service/dealer in the city who he says has many rim o-rings. I'll call them this afternoon after I get off work.

Parking and headlights at the same time?

Hi Clinto, That's the thread I got the two different ideas I posted. I love how the software on this board coughs up related threads like that. Same thing it does when you post a new thread. I was putting out feelers for which was cleanest/most reliable AND for any other possible ideas.

Parking and headlights at the same time?

Hello all! I REALLY need to get my headlights and parking lights to work together. Driving at night is a recipe for getting pulled over. I've searched some previous threads and found a couple means to get my headlights and parking lights to work at the same time: 1. Jumper between H and L...

    HEMTT rim 0-ring?

Yep, I knew they were available that way. But I was holding out hope they might be available locally so I could get that wheel/tire assembled to utilize the help I have available tonight (not often I have available help like this!) to install those monsters on my bobber.

    HEMTT rim 0-ring?

Hello all, Does anyone know of a civvy replacement for an HEMTT rim o-ring? I was mounting all of mine and wouldn't you know it, I get to the fourth wheel/tire, open the bag with the nuts and o-ring and the o-ring is almost torn completely in half. Does NAPA carry them? Is it a tire store...
