    Just bought a deuce!!

I e-mailed pics and the truck VIN number to my insurance man and no problem. Full coverage and a normal policy with no "classic car insurance restrictions". Price was more than the mega-low classic car policies but super fair, in my opinion.

My Install on a Deuce Muffler

NICE! Thanks, number9. Fair shipping for sure! I have deep respect for online businesses who are fair on shipping.

    Just bought a deuce!!

I want a set so bad I can taste it....... But I'm having a **** of a time coming up with $4000-4100 for a set of six delivered right now, financially. Heck, that's more than I paid for the whole truck!

My Install on a Deuce Muffler

Link shows $63.93 each? How'd they treat you on shipping? Seeing they're in Oregon, I assume it could be pricey.....? Thanks for the link!

    Meaning? Air tool lube? Or?

My Install on a Deuce Muffler

I did a little digging and that Donaldson muffler should be WORLDS better than the Dynomax Bullet a lot of folks are using in terms of quieting the beast. Seems the Bullet is rated at only 2-4 db sound attenuation (not much noise reduction at all). Whereas, the Donaldson is 10-15 db...

    Some Deuce Brake questions

Two questions on the airpack lubing: Marvel Mystery oil is the one to use or ? Is there a TM or other maintenance instruction showing this process in detail? Thanks a lot.

Need Help Hauling 1968 M35A2 Deuce from CO to TX

I did that option but the bids still poured in for $400-500 more than the amount I stated. Until about a week into the post.......then they MAGICALLY started to come back into reality.

Need Help Hauling 1968 M35A2 Deuce from CO to TX

Bulldog speaks the truth! I had a sinking feeling Black Hawk wasn't a "major metropolis right off the interstate". That being said, take Bulldog's input to heart. Driving a Deuce from Black Hawk to TX will either make you a Deuce lover or make you say, "What in the H##L was I thinking?!??!"...

Need Help Hauling 1968 M35A2 Deuce from CO to TX

Jay's right. Give it some time and the bids will come. And when they do, sit tight for a little while if they're not quite the price you want.......the bidders might come around. ;) Is Blackhawk out in the middle of nowhere? i.e. "off the beaten path" in terms of normal haul routes...

Need Help Hauling 1968 M35A2 Deuce from CO to TX

That's what I was shooting for-someone on a back haul who'd rather have a full trailer than an empty. Most bids I got were rather high in my opinion BUT...... After a week, 3 of the 4 responded with lower amounts! Guess they were hoping I'd nab the first amount, hoping I was in a hurry. Nope...

Need Help Hauling 1968 M35A2 Deuce from CO to TX

Have you tried uship.com? I posted on there when I almost bought one from Oklahoma. And actually got a few responses from folks who have hauled Deuces before.

    HEMTT Update

AHA! I KNEW that HEMTT looked familiar. I remember drooling uncontrollably over Damon's YouTube clips of your rig. Outstanding. I'd go out on a limb to say you have the nicest civilian-owned HEMTT around.[thumbzup]

By far, my favorite MV-the HEMTT. Great job, Stuart. Top notch all the way.

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

Thanks everyone for your responses. Here's my plan: Use half of the 5 gallon jug at two different tank-fulls so it'll be even further dilluted (2.5 gallons at a time). This should negate the need for any adding-oil compensation when 2.5 gallons is blended into 30+ gallons of diesel, don't...

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

That's where the Kerosene I have came from-a gas station.

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

I did not know that! The multi-fuel is an interesting old engine for sure. Thanks for the info!

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

It's in a big plastic jug, that we normally use for race fuel or quads, not a steel can. If I were to guess, I bet he bought it at the local gas station in the fall. Is that different than K1?

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

Thanks, guys. You know.....I don't know if it has red dye or not. You mean as a possible DOT issue?

    5 gallons of Kerosene okay??

My brother has 5 gallons of Kerosene he's had in a sealed container since last Fall. Can I add that to a near-full tank of straight diesel and run it safely in my multi-fuel? He needs it out of his garage and I can always use free fuel. :) Thanks in advance.
