    another deuce with 395's

You'll love the difference the 395s make. Actually able cruise at 55mph with rpm to spare. Let's see some pics.

    395/85/20 Tires installed

I have yet to check that out, but I will. It will primarily be run on the road though and used to pickup/deliver pumps for my business, so that wasn't a concern. The biggest reason I did it was to be able to run at 60mph on the highway at a comfortable rpm. Maybe someone else can chime in with...

    395/85/20 Tires installed

Just installed my new 46" tires this morning. WOW what a difference. Totally different truck! Looks a lot meaner, rides better, way lower rpm. Can actually cruise at 55-60MPH without redlining the engine. I bought CCEquipment's(clintdigger97) custom rims and tires off eBay. He is awesome to...

    Walker muffled deuce.

Here are the mounting pics. Still have to trim up my angle iron bracket and paint the nuts/bolts, but you get the idea.

    Stopped by the NCSHP

In Michigan the GVWR of the vehicle determines the need for a CDL class A. Here it is 26001 LBS combined GVWR(Truck and trailer). Below that you just need a Chauffers. And you're right, it is a lot of work for occassional use, but since when has our government cared about anything other than...

    Stopped by the NCSHP

All luck will eventually run out. I got away with driving my service truck(commercial vehicle) in the fast lane for 17 years at 70mph(speed limit 60 in MI) then got nailed for improper lane use and speeding in consecutive weeks. Just because you get away with it doesn't mean it is legal. When...

    Walker muffled deuce.

Not at all. It is a non-restrictive straight through muffler. Kinda like a big cherry bomb or glass pack. Kinda.

    Walker muffled deuce.

I'll get some good ones in the sunlight tomorrow. I bought a 7" bracket off ebay(fits around muffler perfect) and bolted it to a piece of angle iron, then bolted the angle iron to the original spot on the truck. It's funny to me only being able to find all the parts in chrome or stainless steel...

Noise in ldt engine - wild thing gun truck

Sounds like you were real lucky. That's a lot of heavy metal to be loose and rolling around in the oil pan!

    muffled the roar

The muffler I chose is straight through as well(made specifically for a diesel). I had your worries in mind when I bought it. Ear plugs don't help keep the neighbors happy either, and the last thing I want is negative attention brought to my MV.

    turn signal problem

Replaced the flasher unit and my blinkers all work now, but my front marker lights still only come on if I chose "park" on the light switch. Rears work fine.

What was your first Modification to your 5 ton?

Muffler on deuce. Can now carry on a conversation with passenger.

    Well looky what I found

I agree with bigmike, $5000 seems fair. Make an offer, you'd be suprised what people will take some times. I once got a guy to come down to $30k on a service truck he was asking $42k for. It was easily worth what he was aking. Fully stocked with hand/power tools, a miller welder/generator, air...
