She's about ready to float again, looking forward to seeing that.
Miggins, if you can arrange for me to have just one of those from your picture, even just a small one, I'll go get it and nominate it!
Cheers
A couple of folks on here have done that over the years.
I remember one bobbed deuce with a utility bed that looked particularly cool, though I don't recall the notches being off-center.
Edit - Found some pictures. I don't recall whose truck it is/was. He doubled up the frame in the back for...
Santa Fe is on the south side of Houston, toward Galveston. ;)
Txsrooster, the pioneer tool rack is the same as on M35s and all sorts of other vehicles, they are easy to come by.
Cheers
For 12v power in the cab, that is only on when the ignition is on, you can plug into either of the sockets in the fuse box indicated by the white arrows.
You'll have to add an in-line fuse as those sockets are not fused.
Someone else will have to advise on getting power to the trailer. ;)

Another common problem with these old trucks.
It could be that your hinges have sagged over time and need to be adjusted (loosen bolts, adjust, tighten).
Or one of the most likely culprits is the bushing on the striker on the door frame. Easiest fix is to take a section of PEX about 3/4"...
Fortunately, having the real vehicles and several kits on hand, I can compare them all to each other. :)
Having looked at the axles in my AFV Club M35 kit, they look the correct size for the V100, and a few details would make them proper.
The axles in the M54 kit are too big (as they...
In youth, the ability to devise and implement experiments frequently surges ahead of the ability to objectively evaluate all of the possible outcomes and consequences. I am frequently surprised that my friends and I survived our teen years, and I see I am in good company!
Unknown if it was by...
I am in the tender embrace of the flu at the moment, give me a couple of days to get to where I don't feel like I have a rhinoceros sitting on my chest and I'll measure mine for you. ;)
Cheers
Thanks, Gerald!
In my dreams my V has disk brakes, it would stop so much better!
Rooper, the disk brakes were not stock. :sneaky:
And I added a couple more pictures to post #7
Cheers
I knew I had pictures of a rollover V in my files. :-D
Here is Avengers III in Vietnam, somewhat embarrassed but showing the underside quite well.
cheers
Another note is the weld lines on the hull.
The kit is accurately moulded with a slight ridge where the sides meet the roof - that should be there, the roof plate overlaps the hull side very slightly.
There is another visible weld line at the rear side of the hull, which is not moulded on the...
Hey, no worries SW! Your first choice (sniff sniff...no, no I'm perfectly fine..) may have better under-hull pictures, he has dealt with more Vs than I can even dream of playing with. ;)
I took a look at the Hobby Boss lower hull (I bought the kit when it first came out and never got around...
I have a 1/1 scale V100 which I did this thread on as I restored it -
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/new-v-100.23235/
There are a lot of detailed pictures there for you to look at, particularly of the interior, which is totally inaccurate in the Hobby Boss kit. They based their...
Interestingly, I have had about 3 years of trouble free not-needing-replacing service from my bulbs on the 1009 and 1028 I use routinely. I'd say 'daily driver', but I only leave my property once or twice a week. :)
Cheers
While you're at it, get the headlight relay setup from LMC.
This runs the headlights directly off the battery instead of through the headlight switch, the switch wiring then just activates the lights. Quick simple install, and is $24 well spent.
I put the relays and the Sylvanias mentioned...
