I've heard that too with the MTRs but all I can say is I've had mine for six years now with zero issues and they look like new. I have two 100% spares in case I do have issues.

The group 31s will fit and so will group 29. The group 29s are mainly for farm use but of you're on the budget it may be the way to go. I would absolutely go with surplus 24 bolt wheels with the 37" MTRs for some good deals. My .02 cents.

I found with mine I have leds in the rear (bulb replacement to leds) and incandescent bulbs up front was the only way to get mine to work properly. Flasher would not work with all leds unfortunately.

How was it spinning on the tire balancer? You can usually see a tire issue or rim issues. With a tire as heavy as these are I would still try to 180 degree rotation of the tire to rim as it "may" help providing of course it is spinning relatively true.
If the rim was bent that condition...
Be aware of the solar panels rated power as you can cut it in half in the real world. A 100w 12v solar panel will net you on the average five amp at best unless you have a tracking array system that keeps the panels at their best efficiency power production. Don't believe the hype.
