The boys might correct me, but it sounds to me like it's a government purchase civvy K5 Blazer instead of a CUCV and they added the converter since there's only the single voltage electrical system.

Is this a K5 type CUCV? That seems to me to be a standard issue GM model number for the platform. GM has most-always used a 5 digit model number for their internal cataloging system. Each body, chassis, drive, and GVW series had a specific number not unlike a VIN which was a US standardized...
Directly from Mendenhall Industries. The owner hooked me up! Unfortunately, the braking/coupler tongue assembly on a 1101/1103 is from a different manufacturer as I understand.

Good call on the idea, I'm getting ready to do the very same thing to my 101A3. Parts sourced from the manufacturer directly.
If you're unable to find the exact part you want, I've seen many have torched off the Lunette and welded the channel in its place.

A short search of eBay popped up a couple offerings of the same nomenclature. Looks like more common to the Humvee models than the CUCV variants. Would you share some pics of yours installed? Anyone have one on a CUCV that's complete from its pre-surplus days?

I'm in an identical situation with a similar setup. We got our M101A3 to accompany my wife's Traverse in lieu of the SUV and pickup she had. It provided a substantial increase in usability with a lower operating cost.
Our trailer pulls slightly nose-down behind all of our vehicles. If we were...
I love threads like this...just as many opinions as there are options and influences are only compromised by budgets. I forsee a waterfall of information in the days to come!
@Kishmael07 many techs may have only theory about a diagnosis based on observation until it comes down to actually...
The body is also mostly aluminum, giving more cargo capacity making the GVWR within negligible difference. All the trailers in this category (101A1/2/3, 105, 1101/2) have pros & cons against each other. The data placard rating has been shown multiple times to be grossly underrated for the...
I'm partial to the M101/116A2/3 chassis as they interface with my fleet effortlessly. Many remove/refit the tongue and axle assys of these type trailers to better fit a commercial resemblance in favor of electric brakes, longer tongues, and lug patterns that match their tow vehicle. Many gripe...
