What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great idea! My master is the stock one above the light switch.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hi Tim! Not to mention topping it off! That cap is hard to get a wrench on due to all the stuff in the way. I usually use a short wrench and I never seem to have a funnel long enough to reach it! A definite upgrade. Hope you are doing well.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well guys, I just ordered the remote brake reservoir from Big Mike's. I can't wait to get it. I also ordered two shirts since most of mine have been thoroughly trashed while working on my house or Brutus. I just can't seem to get away from paint, grease, and anti-seize.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great! Thank you! I opened Brutus' driver's side cover today without popping his hood. I think the reservoir should be small enough to fit just a bit lower and to the outside of the heater duct. That way I only have to open the side cover to check the level. I might just order it tonight!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks LDMack! Is yours a spring seat? I'll have to take a closer look at Brutus. The driver's seat seems pretty tight to the cab corner. The reservoir is very small though.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks Godspeed! Yes, that might work for me. I'll have to look under my hood. Thanks for including the picture. It helps me to visualize the installation. The reservoir is pretty tiny isn't it. Did you have to lengthen the hose? Not that it's a big deal or anything.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks for the idea Tim. Brutus has cab heat and a power steering reservoir right next to it. I mounted the turn signal flasher there too years back to keep it dry. Maybe there's some room under the air compressor regulator. I'll have to pop the hood and see if there's any room there.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

A question for my fellow Soldiers. I'm thinking of installing one of those remote brake reservoirs from Big Mike's. Brutus has a spring ride drivers seat and a bench style passenger seat. There is no room between the seats to mount it. What other mounting options are there? I'd be grateful for...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I usually remove the angle brace with the turnbuckle thingy before I work on the compressor belt. It makes getting the wrenches in place a bit easier. I have the compressor tools, but sometimes I use a pipe wrench too. It's kind of a knuckle buster no matter how you do it. I don't worry about...

    Transmission swap ideas

I agree Jeepsinker. Better splits would be more effective. I would make 2nd and 3rd slightly taller based on my driving experience in an area known for ski lodges. Some of the grades I encounter during routine trips are impossible to pull in 4th let alone 5th. Not much your going to do without...

    Transmission swap ideas

Hello Jeepsinker! That's good information. What the Deuce really needs is MORE GEARS for the main box. Any five speed manual transmission for a 14,000 pound Deuce is inadequate no matter what the ratios are, because the horsepower and torque available is at most 60% of what a commercial truck...

Yep, I consistently grow the best weeds in PA!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I planted those six new shrubs in front of my house today. Brutus would've helped, but he's all thumbs with lawn tools.

Thank you for the kind words Tim!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today, Brutus took me to the shrubbery to get shrubs and planting supplies. No less than three people at the shrubbery were snapping pictures of Brutus on their cell phones and asking me questions about him. A neighbor in an SUV waved me ahead of him at a stop sign even though he knew with the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I finally got up the nerve to cut out my very expensive new left fender to clear the frame mounted power steering unit. It went well. Boy, that new 11 amp DeWalt angle grinder I bought is a BEAST! According to the DeWalt owner's manual it says, " You can cut completely through one leg of...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Tim, after sweeping the driveway under Brutus, I noticed the nut less than a foot away from the cardboard I was sitting on. I'm skinny enough that I can squeeze in between the tire and the fender. The problem is when my face is six inches away from the work. I can't focus my eyes enough to...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thank you! They do roll pretty well considering the flats and all don't they!? I would start off by looking where you wouldn't expect them to be!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well....I put my self-fabricated battery splash guard in today. It should have taken me 30 minutes. It took me two hours. I managed to get anti-seize all over everything as always. Scratched the fresh paint a bit. Used some very bad language. I even fumble fingered the last painted nut I needed...
