Like it! And good job on the antenna mount lights, great idea! I've been thinking about how to set some light on my front end because that option is no longer available due to the winch.
How's the light you put on your hood Joe, and any pics of it working?
Do it. Peace of mind.
Get this guy too, you'll thank me: https://real4wd.com/store/Glow-Plug-Removal-Tool
Test your glow plug wires. Mine were getting 24v 100% of the time when the ignition was on. Smart box was a little messed up, worked otherwise still giving the wait to start light for 8...
I had the same thing happening with a keyed ignition switch. Cheap, wore out.
Might want to pick up a new ignition switch to make sure it's not the cheaper item first.
That's a good idea! Beats throwing money away on overpriced window cages.
Very interested to know your results. Obviously, the lighting will not hit the ground in front for a ways due to the hood blocking it, but you could always throw a secondary on your front bumper to supplement...
Agreeing with Mike.
Search "NOS HUMMER H1 M998 original scissor jack KITS WITH Bag" on the bay. $85
These are the standard ones, I have the same kit and it works great for changing out wheels (paid more for mine) .
Had considered the hydraulic, just didn't see the need as it does the same...
Anybody tried the "authentic military non-Chinese" Tacom 10k half-shafts?
Good / bad? Obviously Kascar & Adventure Accessories are good places to go for half-shafts but the prices are quite steep.
Thanks for clearing this up and helping me with putting my kit together.
If anyone is looking for the little parts to their deep water kit you can find them at

Thanks 86humv for pointing that out, I was looking at the picture in reverse and had mixed up the transmission and oil sticks.
Thank you too for sending the package with those DWF parts, just got it. Looks good!
So you are confirming that Oil Dipstick 12339846 is for a 6.2 litre engine & Oil...
Quick question regarding the DWF kit.
Have most of the parts I've put together, but am uncertain on the specific oil tube & dipstick I need.
I have Dipstick 12339846 & Tube 12469130 but don't know if these are correct for my 6.2L?
It's been tough finding specific documentation for this and the...
You could make your own too:

I have a full set of factory mats in mine and was thinking about doubling up for noise reduction & filling in gaps. Worth a thought.
Covering the center section makes a world of difference.
Trying to figure this one out myself for the deep water fording kit (dwf), looking at alot of the conflicting information online.
So the 12339147-2 tube and 12339847 dipstick are for the TH400 3-speed transmission attached to the 6.2 litre engine?
And the engine oil tube & dipstick for the...
Yeah, I did the same. 92-95 H1.
Civilian Hummer is: .8 - > 1.3
HMMWV is: + 1.5°
(according to the information available)
In the end, it all equals out to contact patch and treadwear, which is directly related.
Did mine because I have new tires. I will look at them after 5 thousand or so...
Have your toe checked. The toe will eat up the tire faster then the camber, according to the guy who does my alignment (30 year marine, captain of the motor pool).
I just pulled the rear shims on mine, left the single main shim in on all 4 contact points of the top rear a-arm(the one with...
