Exactly why I went the route I did.
Did you check that the plug connectors weren't getting 24v constantly before you tied in to the harness? Mine were, that's why I went the separate harness route.
The glow plugs fry because they can't be on for prolonged periods of time.
Same here. Perhaps you are thinking of led turn signals, which blink really fast when installed unless you put a resistor in.
You're fine with led headlights.
I used the ground too from the manual button. Safer than running the hot in my mind.
Are you working this through the box or separately. I ran it separately. Running it through the box and the existing system would be great...
I agree with bikeman on the replacing the entire harness rather than patching together. You will lose durability and waterproof-ness. I bought a secondary glow plug harness from epay and ran it to make a manual controller rather than splicing. Sorry you have to deal with that, I wonder what the...
Studs. I was just in Montana for the holiday, didn't have the 998 there but if I did, I'd stud the tires. Get another set with rims for $600, one for snow, the other not.

There are 2 metal band clamps on the rubber hoses connecting the tank to the fill spout. The first one is on the inside of the wheel well, easy access. Flat head...
Yes. If you can wait another day, I'll be back at my place and I'll measure it for you.
Additionally, there appears to be 2 different sizes of footman loops offered. I have a wider set on mine, and ordered some take offs to replace them (rust). The ones I got were supposed to be from a humvee...
I might be off here, but a lot of "truck" leds sold on ebay specifically for Humvees are military specific non headlight models with no high/low, just on. Often times they are designated as truck led lights. Is this the case?
So on attempting to start, it just cranks constantly with white smoke coming out? No white smoke will mean no fuel.
I just went over this with a fire engine that wouldnt start yesterday, and of course with my own 998.
My issue was cranking was fine, good batteries. Lots of white smoke, so...
Still Happens! Can't tell you how many I've seen presented back to guys with the obligatory ceremonial flagging :-D
One of our guys even had to wear it!

Yes please! How much?

Didn't think of that, dropping something over the handle assembly to stop movement.
