I might in the future. The correct wood stove for this 8x8 shelter should be a coffee can in reality. I can only put about 1lb firewood in it or it is just too hot with outside temps of 38ish. I have had it raging in trials with the heat gun out and all temps are very good on back wall and...
Few items I have adapted for the deuce, new paint (not great but it was fun) added rear receiver for winch, 40a 24-12v converter, lights, chargers, camper, wood stove, roof top lookout for spotting (13' to top of roof), easy to load up and remove when done
I took my 5 ton out and tried to go up a steep bank coming out of the creek and it did not even get close. The Deuce crawled right up it. The lockers plus the good rubber doubles the capability.
No chains. Just wanted to see what she'd do. Before the video I went further in and thought I was stuck in about 4' of packed snow. I did not really want to deal with going to get equipment to get out. Now to compare with chains... I think chained up it will go about anywhere, So far it...
Snow bogging today! I thought I was stuck on first round. Got it out and then made a video in a safer area....
Tried to just post a link... If videos not allowed please remove. I just quickly read through the rules and did not see it not being allowed. I just usually see links.. Thanks.
PSC 300 is the kit minus the 5ton pump and bracket. bracket was just a piece of 3/8 plate and I cut slots to weld in the mounts for the ram also just a piece of flat bar welded to the back for the lip. Pretty easy if you weld...just like anything.. easy if your used to doing it. This first...
my rears are good in comparison to both the rear axles. I am more talking the large offset between the front axle and rear axles. Fairly large offset. I will need to properly service the trunnions so I can scratch that off the to do list.
Thanks for the link. I did hit a nice bumpy ice hole yesterday at about 45mph and it definitely made me slow to about 38. The real hard deal is trying to decipher my new truck handling characteristics during the frozen winter road conditions.
Hello folks! At first I thought I was seeing things now I am sure.. each time I park my 6x the rear axles are always a good 4 inches to the drivers side. al hard to tell when I am driving if I changes. Normal? No big deal? Any thoughts? I have had a few friends behind me while on the road...
Wow! I need to come apprentice under you . I can do chores...maybe I can remember a 1/10 of what you can do and know! Electric motor running an axle...
maybe that is what I feel... on my Goodyears.
All done with hydraulic steering. Drives great. 15 miles on pavement up to 50. Up and down the creek bed a little... snow, water, rock and some soft silt and one fairly steep river bank. Lockers and all 6 wheels made it up and out on 4th try.
People are trying to help you but you are not listening. Read the TM it will spell out the maintenance schedule for you. A couple of folks already answered your question. Now, you have to read it.
I am the same as you I like to keep asking till I get the answers I want... Slowly I am...
I started the install... most of my time is spent staring into space while trying to figure it out.
I used the PSC 300 system with a 5 ton pump. I converted a smaller steering wheel. Used original steering shaft.
While i was in there i fixed alternator ear and replaced air pump belt.
