    Haspin 2024

More than slightly bummed out that I spent the weekend in the hospital due to my 161st, 162nd and 163rd kidney stones with lots more on the way. I did get entertained when the nurse (female) had to examine my junk in front of my wife. Neither seemed to care and at least one of them wore gloves...

    Haspin 2024

There is no longer any camping in the woods Jeff. They also put up gates so no night rides either (unless you go out before curfew).

    Old photos of 5 ton trucks - M813, M923

Great pic but I especially like that there is an American Legion post on the map....:ROFLMAO:

    1969 M35A2 West Mitten

When I read about your trip I thought, why in the heck would anyone want to break about that many tires to put TPMS sensors on. Then I learned that they make TPMS that are external to the tire. Duh. Thanks for contributing to my daily knowledge. :) Good luck on the trip. My first truck...

    Load Bank

Looking at all the pretty colored wires I would rip it all out and leave this: I didn't see any pics for wattage or resistance in the pics but you can disconnect one and measure to get the OHMs value. THe count them up and use the number to divide into the total of the unit's rating to get...

    Load Bank

Must be darn big switches. Depends on how long you want to run the load on it whether you need fans or not. I run my HF battery tester until it glows. YMMV

    Load Bank

I say this never having tried one but it should not make a difference whether you input 60Hz or 400Hz into a pure resistive load bank. If all you need is the load then wire it up without anything other than the resistive bank.

    M101A2/3 VIN NUMBER?

Get a new data plate and put a number on it. My 1102 came in with 22. Yes, that is the serial number on the dataplate. Jeff, I'll let you have 23. ;)

Batteries Blew Up & Caused A Fire

Upside is the no one was hurt and they are only things. I have 10 of the BatteryMinder brand from Northern Tool. I keep them on all my batteries for months. Never had a problem. Doesn't mean I can't walk out to the barn see one blown up. Worst I ever had was a cell that popped on one of the...

    Haspin 2024

I was hoping to bring the 915 this year but I seem to have a starting issue that looks like it is the solenoid or starter. It starts almost all the time but it is mocking the heck out of me. I bought new batteries and put the wrenches on the step to swap them and thought why not try it again...

2009 Schutt M1101, flattening a crumpled edge, advice needed

I understand your wanting to fix it. Heck, I'm trying to get the clicks for the cover which may turn out to be easier than iI thought. I looked at the pics and my recommendation may be based on being able to see what damage you are talking about. I based it on the outward ripples on the side...

2009 Schutt M1101, flattening a crumpled edge, advice needed

I know you may not like it but if that was the worst thing on my trailer I''d take it and call it a day. You might be able to "tap" it flat with a mallet. Make up some story about it being an IED mark.

Pretty sure the bars are for transporting prisoners but in the seated position.

    Air Pack bypass

I had the pleasure of buying an M813 that the air pack was bad. The truck would stop but like Guyfang says, you plan and look miles in front of you for where you might have to stop and your legs will get a work out. In my case Gimpy drove it home for me and I ran chase. ;-) When we put it...
