    M813A1 transmission.

Yeah, what NDT said, I was typing and he posted. :) https://www.steelsoldiers.com/attachments/tm9-2320-260-20p-5ton-pdf.482711/ figures 133-139

    M813A1 transmission.

It uses air for reverse and not 5th gear. When you put it into reverse you will hear and maybe feel it. I'm not a transmission guy and there isn't any linkage to adjust but you can take off the top cover and look at it.

    M813A1 transmission.

Did you look in the manuals to see if there is an adjustment (other than clutch)? No electronics. They use air to do things. Mine that I sold was a great truck.

    My M915

Looking good. I'm looking to convert mine back into a tractor.

    NJ oshkosh m1070

yeah but. Clearly you can use it on occasion for other purposes. This is right out of the policy. J. "Antique vehicle" means a motor vehicle 25 years or more of age that: 1. Is maintained primarily for use in car club activities, exhibitions, parades, other functions of public interest or for...

    NJ oshkosh m1070

I just got my M915A1 insured and got the whole "you can't do this or that from the agent" (Hagerty) on the phone. Funny, the actual policy says something different. :)

Sad to say this is why I long for the past when insurance threads were not allowed. What you advise someone to do or try is almost always not going to work in another state or for a different truck. Furthermore telling your insurer that your HET is a camper will work right up until the truck...

    Valence's 1997 Pribbs M101A3

I like the thread. I mounted an MRAP toolbox on the front of mine and Gimpy and I put a spare tire carrier under the back almost like yours. I also put commercial lights on it along with two pieces of PVC pipe (1 per side) on the sides to hold amateur radio masts. (y)

    M818 clutch inop, question

Good news. I'd swear that bumping the transfer lever can't ever happen. (More than once per day anyhow) ;-) In all reality I kept all my trucks in my barn with the t-case in neutral along with transmission. Now build or buy a power bleeder and go through the system.

    Cleaning cargo covers?

Actually bleach is not good for killing mold. It may clean the surface but I believe vinegar is better. Who knew. I didn't believe but it will kill it. (Then use bleach to clean it up. :ROFLMAO: )

    Cleaning cargo covers?

This stuff was recommended to me by a friend that has a boat detailing business in Florida. It works on the vinyl for sure...

    Deuce Air System Questions

I fall back to what I suggested, Parker Hannifin. Unless I find something better I will be using these or like them on the back of my newly acquired M915A1 as I freshen up the glad hands and valves. It is a full air brake system and would be easier to lose air on it than on a Deuce or M809...

    Deuce Air System Questions

A recommended fix in an emergency situation. BUT, now is a good time to make it right. ;-)

    Deuce Air System Questions

I suggest going to a Parker Hannifin dealer that supplies fittings. Locally for me it is Triad Technologies and I had them make up some patches for my hard copper line. I never thought about converting them to something other than copper but I am sure they had the stuff to do it.

    M818 clutch inop, question

I suggest you go through the manuals for the M809 series trucks. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/tms-for-m809-series-5-tons.121483/ In particular the -10 manual for operation. The M809 does not use fluid for the clutch. If either the clutch or brake are soft and going to the floor I...

    Steel Soldiers, users age

Heck, my new (to me) truck requires a step ladder to get up into the driver's seat. The fuel tank steps suck on a M915A1.

Good grief, thanks for pointing that out. No other groups left for me to go into. :-(

    M1010 1600 mile road trip

I just finished recovering my 915 Saturday 500 miles and I can guarantee you your CUCV will ride better but I still have smile on my face.

I'm Back as a Truck Owner - Recovered my M915A1

And it is still on there which is unbelievable considering how bad the ride was over Jellico in TN. It it had come off I could only hope Gimpy didnt hit it with my RAM behind me. ;-)
