Wow! Almost 4 years since the last post on this thread.
Just put a rebuilt rear-rear differential in the M915a2 last weekend. Original one either was missing or broke the cheap cotter pins that hold the bearing retainers and moved the ring gear away from the pinion and ate the gears.

This is one of our humvees on a 2001 Dodge 2500 frame. Body does fit between the frame rails with some of the aluminum supports removed. Front steering box sticks out but we hid it with a winch bumper. Rear leaf springs fit thru rear seat box and stick past tub a little bit.

Usually the fuel valve under the injector pump top cover gets stuck/rusty from sitting. The solenoid will move like normal but the valve will stay in the closed position. Put some transmission fluid in there and work the lever back and forth until the spring moves it on its own again. Let it sit...
If the weight is less than 6-8’ tall it should be ok for 65 mph or less. If you carry something tall and the weight is above center the trailer will sway and become unstable.
