    NHC250 Cummins fuel rail pressure

Dude, you've got more problems than I do. At the risk of getting banned, my screw is off to one side in the hole and was fairly hard to turn.

    NHC250 Cummins fuel rail pressure

The screw behind the hole in throttle shaft (after the metal ball is removed) I should point out, as will Wagner states above, that the directions below are wrong (clockwise should be counter clockwise)

    NHC250 Cummins fuel rail pressure

No, it has a turbo. Makes 16psi at 2000rpm (6psi under no load/test conditions). It runs low EGT so it can take more fuel. I have been turning the screw counter clockwise. Starts and runs nice. I find it hard to believe it can run nice on the 10psi indicated (or 5.8% of normal). The gauge is...

    NHC250 Cummins fuel rail pressure

I turned up my M813 PT pump a second time (1-1/4 total). I have a fuel press gauge on this unused plug (see arrow). I'm getting only 50psi when I go wot to 2100, no load. When I get to 2100 it drops quickly to 10psi. I must be doing something wrong. Can the recommended 172-178 psi rail pressure...

    M35a3 Brake fluid

Dot 3 is glyco based and will absorb water may damage paint. Dot 5 is silicone based and will not eat paint. It also will -not- absorb moisture. If a lot of water does get in a dot 5 system in can aggregate in spots and cause corrosion (ex-brake cyl bores). Dot 5 std and more expensive. I...

    Nhc250 valve injector overhead adjusting

I was unable to set mine with a torque wrench. At 15in*lbs the spring(s) would start to compress. As I continued the spring compressed further with minimal torque increase. At 25in*lb the plunger(s) bottomed out solid and torque went up fast. Looked wrong and was a huge change from where they...

    Bounce bounce?

You assumed wrong. Apples-Well, the Stalwart does not scuff it's tires, it has what is known as 'windup', a.k.a. keep your foot down when you turn hard on pavement. I should also point out that the Stalwart's 2inch/ 1 inch spec. is for circumference, not diameter. The buffing procedure is a...

    Bounce bounce?

Sorry, your's is better. Never tried it. I'm kind of a lead guy and I seem to be taking 'em apart every few months;) so that might be messy. I would like to make a stand with a 5 ton hub, lightly oiled, no seals, then let gravity do it. Worked good on motorcycles....I think balance is worth...

    Bounce bounce?

Maybe not. My Stalwart, a 5 tonne w/1400 x 20's, is diameter critical because of the direct driveline (per side, it does had a locking diff between sides). The EMER (a.k.a TM) spec., if I remember correctly, allows for 2” front to back and 1”side to side, at 30psi, with largest tyres on the...

    Bounce bounce?

Update to post # 14. I had a tire re-capper* south of Rochester buff the three Goodyear 1400x20 radials. They were all off axially by 1/4 –3/8”. The whole process took 5 min per tire. Charge was $20/ea which he guessed at, said it was twice the going rate for the race car tires guys come in...

    Deuce brakes

Low brake fluid is common. You may need to add it and possibly bleed the brakes. The filler is under a cover on floor drivers side. There are 2 brake shoe adjustment procedures, minor and major. There are two 11/16 bolts on the top of each backing plate. They are stops for the top of each shoes...

    800 series front springs

I'd rather not start a thread and this looked like as good a place as any to ask. <y 72' M813A1 w/w front spring profile is flat and I have about 1" between it and snubber(s). Rides OK. Is this normal of should there be more arch? Thanks.

Are 2.5T and 5T wheel studs the same?

Then the deuce studs in my Rockwell factory re-furb air locking diff rear-end must have been replaced w/shorter ones (same length as the 2-1/2 ton shown)

Are 2.5T and 5T wheel studs the same?

Not any area I know anything about. The Euclid shown is 3/8" longer than the deuce, about half of that is threads, half the shank.
  16. jimk

Why do you love your deuce?

    The parts weigh less.

30psi and 22:1 is one marriage that won't be pleasant.

Are 2.5T and 5T wheel studs the same?

Update - they are not the same. The 5ton (M813A1) shoulder is longer. It will protrude when used on a deuce. I do not know if there is clearance behind the wheel nut. L-2-1/2 ton C- 5 ton R- Euclid # E-5987-L (or -R) $3.20 each

    Bounce bounce?

My 813 w/1400 x 20 has it bad at 30mph +/-5mph. Looks like it is 1/4" radial run-out on 2 rears. Adding air (90psi) made it worse. It is a resonance. Either the sidewall or the spring is storing the energy, adding it to the next rev... I am going to try having a local re-capper buff them.
