good input... answered part of my question of ..... "was one or all of its data of any value outside of trouble shooting?."
Seems still though that maybe not via ICE but via pulling thru other means one or two things of data it puts out can be utilized. For example tach and more voltage...
Laptop not for any programming etc... just as a display of information to eye over at when something burps as your driving, use your laptop screen as tach, your 12v batt status as you mentioned etc.
orrr... if truck farts and makes you jump into... oops.. pullover / stop driving.. then you...
how do you hook your port to your laptop on your truck? How did you determine what in the port on truck was producing a signal from, in order to have it give correct wave report for it?
that and any other things is my thought's one could have always plugged up to their old laptop. I got a few that could run Win 7 or ten... ex-LEO rugged type laptops.
good starting point on what STE is and could do

Lots of folk are adding laptops/tablets anyway ... well the Adventure - Expedition Truck folk are... soooooo why not capitalize on this?? waist of time due...
hmmm.... value of STE.. is that "not a value" cause folk just are not capitalizing on it? like can you pull an amp signal of STE?
Anyway.. that'ss a whole new topic best for another thread .... especially since I'm not sure what the heck STE even is.... (think its about some archaic...
does not surprise me.... most folk dont know how to use advance search features beyond what is provided by a bulletin board... (and many wont even do that... they start new threads instead.... "what oil xyz" LOL)
can you run this also with same parameters but different tire heights? OEM (45"ish), 14R20's (48"ish), and 16R20 (53ish)... and for shitz and grins... maybe 12r20 (40ish).. might be smart to lower center of gravity on and off road for those building expedition rigs.... ??
yep.. google advance is helpfull. Sadly you cant hone "site" in the advanced google nomenclature.. on down to particular forum within a bulletin board. Have tried numerous ways.... and found it only allows the "site" to be the main/root board's url and not a whole url for a particular forum...
[thanks for answer.. tis one reason why asked.... "Electrical Load Analysis"
Another reason asked was to get the whole words into the thread so someone searching in future might be able to find it now. aka- sense one can not search nor find post or threads for learning new information...
as you might guess...... this question has been asked as much as "what oil do I use" . suggest you search first...... BUTTT that said..... since a new choice litterally just arrived on the market. and that might get lost in a search.... untill a month or so ago... there were no parts...
soo instead of repeating that mistake.... DON"T USE ACRONYMS in here and we wont need but one page of definitions instead of ten... especially if acronym is only 3 letters or less... cause basically 3 letter searches on a website.... is not searchable.. on the global net results will be so...
one oem belt on each alt will have that belt in same or more wrap, on its alt than, oem does. Tensioning on one alt would be via the typical swing out to tighten configuration. The other alt. can still use the existing idler for tensioning..... mayyyyyyybe, but doubtfull ,.. OEM idler can...
