1. Second alternator adds redundancy advantage. 2. able to dedicate one alt. to House/Work battery has advantages when work includes welding. This keeps that draw and charge soundly separate from Start batteries. 3. the House/Work battery bank will be HUGE... 200ah lead with additional 400ah...
My job ends soon (and then try to live on SS eeeek) so after tackling my jeep to make it daily driver and not my alternator-less LMTV... I want to tackle my Alternator Project Twin alternators - one for House/Work batteries and one for start/vehicle lights. BOTH 24v. and a converter for 12v...
not sure who you are replying too since there is no one quoted.... I'll take a crap shoot and guess it was me.
Not sure if he is a business.... I just reached out to him to find out and see if he has any 1079 stairs.... grrr.. sorry to say he has now sold out of everything but a few MTV bed...
no "mode" display, Mode button did not illuminate either. will follow up more tomorrow.
Side note- the heater fan EATS power. Thimking thru all the times getting home "barely" with trans not getting enough voltage to operate (under 22v)... was when heater fan was on full blast.... like...
seems via online code manual 13 12 is love voltage.... aka- not related to over heating
the other two D's not having sub codes confuse me; though 24 as primary code is about temps, and 13 is about voltages
PS- engine temps are fine
there is a thread in here on making a safety brace. One of us knuckle heads became a crushed head when his came down. He by miracle survived. (Chucky)

recent upgrade to my home computer caused no file names to appear.... so I cant find my allison trouble shoot guide. My apologies... (searched in here too)
recently.... (and this scares $hiat out of me) i am getting "trans over temp " warning light somewhere near middle to end of a half hour...
a ucup discussion is in here somewhere. Power Packer is the other supplier of this stuff, if I recall right... thanks for updated info. PDF little confusing with it being hand or foot operated switch and not the manifold with valves used with FMTV's...... but guess the guts in side are...
yup I like to use them..... but they do not ship past a dividing line shown on below website. They use too; but stopped doing so around Covid time.

PS- you might be better off to cut them down in a logical place for a welder to rejoin..... so...
There is a US military NOS surplus sales thing over that way do believe. They get stuff from Hawaii. Got a friend in Philipines that got some LMTV's from Korea... least I think that is where he sourced them from. sooooo it might actually be REAL NOS stuff.
that said.... still out of my ball...
Already got put in the Parts Wanted so its there. Was a mod for a forum, now sold to Murdoch Media, for nearly 15yrs (Benzworld/Unimogs). At time it was largest English speaking Mog forum on the net. ... sooo I get tya about private biz.
Had same issue there in that anything Mog..... was...
Yeah yeah... I know there is a parts wanted section on SS..... reality though..... this is such a specific item to hmmv only and odds SIGNIFICANTLY higher someone in here has one sitting on shelf and that person will NEVER venture into the parts wanted forum...
soooooo with that... anyone...
starting to look like this is going off topic of this thread. Maybe admin or mod can split off the post from this one and form an all new thread on this adventure.
thanks.... anything brand new at this point in life is going to be signficantly outside my budget. Am sure their is someone with different pockets that could use it though. Will pass this on if I hear of a person looking.
