Well I am hoping to keep the horn working too... I don't know if parts would mesh... EDIT: I had seen that on EBAY, I wrote the seller and gave him what the TM says are correct P/N's and he wrote back and said it is a match so I bought it.

For the record, the new BC3 came w/ a Blue colored Bendix Fan Clutch. It was INOP , stuck it was. I had in stock a Gold TOP Kit Masters Fan Clutch and I swapped it in and I am HAPPIER for it. I built this thing like I was going to send men into battle w/ it. I have tried SO HARD to do a GREAT...

Well today was a good day. I do believe all issues are resolved. She starts and runs like a throughbred. She holds air for TWO DAYS above 100 PSI! (y) Tranny Air Pack appears to be A-Ok, I can shift forward and backward thru all 16 gears and 2 reverse w/o issues. ! THIS is a MUCH different...

So when I pulled the air cleaner box I had found a mouse nest in the discharge hole / one way rubber deal on the very bottom of the air cleaner box. The ONLY way it could have got in was thru the front air intake hole. I made a anti-mouse screen w/ 3/8" perforated hole punched steel. I...

The oil leak was MY FAULT. I should have pulled the dam pan to do the rear main... period. I knew going into this I would F up here and there... At least it can get fixed for my time and a few parts. I was VERY focused on perfection, well perfection as good as my untrained hands can do...

I used Permatex UltraBlack on the Bellhousing to block bolts... A lil on the threads and on the captive washers and then finger wiped things... We shall see on that. I am just hoping my issue is just the pizz-poor job I may have done... Like I said, in retrospect I should have pulled the pan to...

Well the good news is IT RUNS and it started almost instantly. I was all smiles, I have a video, later w/ that. All was good, hitting 54ish PSI of oil pressure at like 1950 RPMs and all of a sudden my buddy says SHUT IT DOWN. Oil .... LEAKING from REAR of oil pan. New oil pan gasket...

The brass fitting in my hand is from new engine. One of the few F up's I did was the acelerator pedal linkage was hitting the fuel return line that attaches to this brass fitting. So I pulled line, adjusted and when I went to reconnect I f'n cross threaded that brass fitting. OK, no problem...

When I went to connect the Tranny heater strip wires they were 2" too short. Even though EVERYTHING, all air lines, fuel lines etc are now WAY more relaxed then then when I started so I simply moved it's solenoid. It is a LOT of work to attempt to get every last line in a good home. I...

Yea,,, The only other option that is probably too much of a PITA is; I bet the A1-A2's that came w/ BC3's , I bet they have a bigger shroud... I am prob gonna just use the old and move on...

I just looked at it again. If I cut shroud, if radiator centers perfect, I "might" have 3/16" clearance from tips of blades to shroud... New fan protrudes well past DS and PS radiator limits by over 3" ! If I use old fan I am done.

Just hit a snag... The old fan is 32" in Diameter. The new fan is 34.25" in Diameter. I have fan shroud clearance issues. The new fan is BALANCED, old fan is not. 1- Cut shroud? 2- Use old fan? 3-Knarfle the Garthark:cautious:

The old heater tube routing was kinda insane. I deleted the copper section pictured below which eliminates 2 hose clamp joints and I found some hose sections (2) on ebay w/ built in 90 degree turns and fit it up sweet. LS Heater Hose 5/8X4X24

Not wanting to over think things and do huge mods, at first I was just going to eliminate the power steering cooler then I decided to simply mount it real close. This eliminated about 5-6' of hose and lowered it about 19-20" . Maybe later I will open the backside of the inner fender well but for...

I am looking at the power steering fluid cooler and IT DAWNED ON ME that is OE installation is most likely FLAWED. I remember every time I would check the power steering fluid it would be LOW! I would add some and next service LOW again and "some" signs of fluid around fill hole! Well DUH! Look...

So B4 I slap the MASSIVE radiator assembly back in I am taking the time to use a Surface Conditioning Pad and clean up the water hose nipples and I will wash it and flush the daylights out of it. My old fluid was great, no issues at all but I am considering using Cummins Blue Anti Freeze and I...
