I get it when the truck sits up after driving in rain. Seems to be pretty common. Usually, the will pop free.
The worst I saw was that little tan parts truck I picked up from San Antonio. One wheel brake was REALLY stuck good when we wen to drag it off the yard. But the 5lbs sledge...
Yep, hopefully someone will see this and save one of their tires someday.
Had I not had that side of the truck on the pavers, it would not have slid down the driveway w/o warning But the pavers acted as skids/slides and the tire didn't grab at all until it hit the street and I was...
Yeah, seriously.
Pee Wee's bike in black.
LOL
It's not a bad bike, though. Beach Cruisers are a big thing down here (especially on the beach) Retro-springer front end a bonus.
Yeah, the tires on the truck are all still the 2008's.
I have a 2012 that will go one for now (or I may just swap it with the spare and keep the 2008's on the pavement for now.
No plans to buy all new Goodyears until I have then project completed. But yeah, before I travel I'll get...
I'm pretty thorough on my walk-around the truck pre-drive. I inspect all the usual things, tires, lights, lines, hoses, pins, compartments, etc.
So last week we had a but 8 days of solid rain/drizzle.. I had run errands on Monday and backed the truck up the driveway as always...
Disappointed to hear about the PAC brake losing effectiveness.
I kinda figured that the trans would need a re-tune after the ECO hubs were added too the equation. Going to have to see what people are doing with regards to this.
But damn, the loose off the effective PAC brake may be a...
I'm not surprised in the least.
My 2008 A1R with OEM rims and 2008 Goodyears is smooth as silk on the highway. No balancing of the tires or even the driveshaft.
I don't think it has to do with the gearing or the hubs. The vibration issues from the tires would still present...
Yeah, because potential order requests in his thread are easily lost in the various discussions there. He will get an email notification if you PM him. As popular as this thread is, he may not have all the spam notifications for each and every post. PMs are a good point of...
I think I'll be better off just finding a 15 pin serial -to- Type 1 cable.
I have no idea what this one they sent me really is (it doesn't appear to be type 1 or type 2).
The problem is I can't find a cable in that configuration. Not even on DP's site (you can buy the entire...
Looking more closely at the adaptor I linked, I don't think it's going to work.
This is what came with the DPA4. Note all the plastic pins are the same size, The ones at 7:00 and 5:00 won't fit in t the truck receiver port.
Or maybe it's the other way around.
The truck has this configuration where the pins shown here at 5:00 and 7:00 are smaller diameter.
The male connector I received has all fat pins (and wont fit). In any event, I need a cable or an adaptor that has the two smaller pins.
Never sure of anything online. But for $150 if it works, I'll be happy. Supposed to be demo units direct from DG.
The return address matches up with DB in MI. The packing list indicates it's from them. And the box had DB Tech packing tape enclosing it. But you could tell...
Finally talked my doc into doing an epidural on my back this week. Hoping this works opposed to surgery. It's cooled off enough to get back to work on the truck and I'd like to get fixed up enough to at least get it back to where I can take it on some overnights (it's still gutted...
I scratch the crap outta them in the brush, then I respray them with a Rustoleum rattle can.
Rinse/repeat
PC would be nice, but I've had a couple Baja cars with tube frames that were powder coated and when they chip and ding they're a bit harder to maintain the chips and touch...
So it appears that my DPA4+ is a Type 1 (black) and the truck is a Type2 (green).
Basically, on the truck side there are two pins that are just slightly smaller than the others. The 9-pin plug/connector that came with the DPA4+ has all 9 pins the same size.
So I "think" I need...
