My daily driver has just done over 1,030,000 klms and the gearbox still feels like new.
Only ever changed the gearbox oil every 100,000 klms.
Still running on the original clutch!

They are to restrain the bows under the bed where they are stored when not in use.
In this picture you can see where the uprights are stored along the front of the bed while the bows are stored under the front of the bed.
Brilliant is'nt it!??

Well while out in the workshop I decided to fit the new bow retaining straps.
The original straps:

There is supposed to be another set on the other side but on my Deuce they are missing so I'll get the rod and fit it.

Well today the new set of bow straps ARRIVED!
Its been a long journey.
You see they were sent ok but got held up in Callifailure and then sent back to the sender,...
Anyway after finding this out I had it sent to a friend in the US, (wait,... what!?? he has friends...

Just arrived today is the complete set of new push rods for my Deuce's engine.
Its always good to have spares.
Also an oil supply pipe for the C turbo I'll fit later on,....

If you've ever done an accredited 4x4 drivers course it will have included winch operation.
You will then have an appreciation of how not to get stuck and if you do, how to extract yourself safely.
You can then operate your Deuces winch safely and not damage anything else...

Just ordered a new set of bow storage straps for my Deuce.
The ones I had, or what was left of them were rotten.
Took them off a while ago, the new ones will look awesome, that and having a full set.
You know what they say about the little things that make a big...

As it happens ALL except the lower radiator hose was replaced by the last owner, even the little ones on top of the manifold.
I replaced the lower radiator hose after this:
Even that took me ages to do, but i got it done.
Right now I just have to put the radiator...

I don't see anything modified but my issue was the gap between the lower pulley and the radiator shroud was half what was needed to get a belt past it.
Thats why I had to move the radiator forward to make a gap to get the belts past.
