It's on an auction truck at GP. Never seen this before - what is this for?

If you had something foul up the inside of your curbside trash bin . . .
And if all of your hose bibs are shut off for the icy Rocky Mountain winter . . .
Turns out an M1152A1 is the perfect size to take your Toter down to the local pay and spray for a wash out.
Lined the bed of my M1152A1 with a piece of 3/4 plywood. Took off four of the bolts securing the bed, laid the wood, marked, drilled, and resecured with a combination of 2.5" (back bolts/tie downs) and 3" (front bolts/tie downs) grade 8 bolts and some new tie down anchors I purchased on Amazon...
Not much other than the baldest flattest tires in existence. on a set of mismatched junk quality 12 bolt rims. It also needed a new fuel pump and some lighting replaced, otherwise it was ship shape. Mine was a Georgia truck.
If Retired War Horses says force it out the exhaust, I believe him!
Or, as other have said, compressed air. Or perhaps a piece of stiff wire wrapped in 2-sided VHB tape and some blind fishing.
Part 2 of the new tires on the M1152A1. Took apart the now-replaced junk quality govplanet runflats and the mixmaster 12 bolt rims so I can take them to the dump. Rims in the scrap steel, tires $5 each disposal. That will free up some garage space.
Well finally mounted the new GT Cepek tires on the M1152A1. Took her for a spin, which is more-or-less the first time she's been out. The tires that came from the auction put new meaning to the term "bald" and I couldn't risk them on the snow.
It's a beautiful truck and I love it - BUT wow...
Most definitely yes!!! You are not permitted to take possession of the vehicle without an EUC. In my experience EUCs can take weeks to months and then without warning you have a week to pick up your truck when it clears.
Another option is to buy at auction and send the truck to Retired Warhorses for a refurb - Steve has done two for me and is very thorough and mostly cost-effective.
But if you want one without an up to one year wait for the SF-97 (title) to arrive from govplanet so you can get the plates, then...
Modifying an ECV to remove the enhancements that require the extended front is like dating Christina Hendricks but making her get a breast reduction. Why, for the love of God, why?
