I can possibly drive it home myself, but needing to transport a M923A2 from Kilgore NE to Broadus MT. Would do it myself but this happened
Snapped the torsion leaf springs on the rear axle. Here is the MV in question, and yes empty water tank bolted to the back included.
He was from Colorado, so I believe he has been around a bit though young kid. I say young as in I’m 41 and he is in his 20’s. Age might be just a number, but he looked young in life in general too.
Pictures coming up next week!
Forgot to mention… the auctioneer doesn’t know military vehicles or equipment cause he didn’t list in the auction that it has 3 MWO tags on it. There is one I can read from 2009, but rest are covered in paint, I do know also the alternator was rebuilt too in Ft. Stewart.
Yeah I have a plan on that behalf, I got some tinted RV windows I’m going to mount on sheets of steel to make them removable sides for summer. These are the tempered windows so they won’t shatter easily.
Only about 40 below zero with up to 60 below zero wind chill trying to plow snow blowing into the open cab after you hold the glow plugs on for 2 minutes and tap the frozen starter to kick off :ROFLMAO:
Yep, no electrical lines around for miles running on solar, no phone lines or internet lines, no phone service either except I have a cell phone booster 40’ in the air, no neighbors for miles, though not many boulders around either. Want to put the larges ones I can on both sides of my driveway...
I need the tank hehe, I live off grid with no well here since DNR shut any new well drilling down couple years ago and now they started up the ranchers are first and when they hear where we live the refuse to come out. So I have been using a 1650 gallon water tank to fill up from local fire...
It broke down 10 miles from home so to get it home had to drive loader over to rip back axle off to get the semi home which required using it as a “jack”.
The tank at the same auction went for $4250 so essentially I paid around $5500 for the MV.
Needs a new roof, seems someone dropped something heavy on it and it’s not sealing anymor, floor is rotted through on passengers side (I can weld new one in), might need new windowshield frame though needs new weather stripping and new drivers side windshield, hard to start I suspect air getting...
There was a beach cabin that is in my family on Bolivar Peninsula on what was Rollover Pass, all is gone due to hurricane Ike, still got the parcel of land I surmise will go to me when my dad passes. Good memories and great pictures y'all posted, memory lane...
Here is another one, might be cheaper to have someone transport it back here than would be to drive it back here
Need something to move my 60k lb toy around when the occasions calls for it.
 Surprised since these have been released to the public someone isn't actively looking to change the differential gearing out or have done it yet. They should would make a buck or two doing so, heck even buying them up changing them out then selling them. At least get a 4:** something...
