Ok. 2 cans did the trick. One for s8 and another for the am/vm. Rotate the switches 66 times and presto. What got me was no errors as usually overvolt/undervolt or short will light up. Thanks to all.
Howdy. Im working on an mep 803a thats dropping loads for no reason. Im loadbanking it to 10kw amd it runs with no issued for about 8 mins and then drops the load. The idiot lights work but none turn on when the loads drop. Btw, the percent rated current is displaying 133% at 10kw but that may...
Im having issues with the other side of the pump. The bottom where the big spring is at. It has a disc that acts as the detent and holds in the spring and piston in the middle. My piston will not stay inside and there is no pressure to keep the detent in place. Im trying to find out if there is...
Alright guys. I just took out the lift pump off a unit that even had the tappet stuck. That said, the issue is the pump fell apart when i took it out. The clamp, spring and piston just fell out. I cant get the piston to stay in and comes right out when i put in the spring and detente. I does not...
I bit the bullet with the contitech. I have a few rolls of the gates but the time and effort (kills my fingers) to push the barbs in was not worth the savings.
Mine had the intake valve stuck open. Noticed it after removing the intake manifold and watched white smoke come out of cyl 2 of the manifold while running. She would still give you 13kw on 3 cyl, a testament on how underrated these units are.
Update. Just got 66ft (a whole roll) of this hose for a $1.76 a foot shipped from belmetric.com. A great price if you ask me. Had to to order more than I wanted but as a consumable, I will have enough for more than a few customers.
I just saw this today. Im shipping them over to mike at black dog customs to get mounted. Im hoping they can fabricate an aluminum replacement and rivet them on or fiberglass would be better. We shall see.
Make sure those metering pumps are on correctly and the mechanism springs back w/o getting stuck. Had a rush of adrenaline the other day when I had a runaway and could not get it to shut off even after I put my hand in the inlet pipe. Had to put the other hand over the exhaust manifold to choke...
The first thing I do is put on a glove and get my hand in the fuel fill hole. There are two floats, one on the very bottom and another in the top. You need to fondle them both but in particular the bottom one. Sometimes they will get stuck due to varnished diesel or the rod was set a bit too...
Yes, i figured the issue was mecanical and started playing with the mechanism till i found a detent that was not falling in place due to a spring that was not well adjusted. I lubed everything up as well and got back working. Thanks for the help. Here is a pic of the culprit for future reference.
