6 or 7 years ago I was looking to rebuild the injection system on one of my sets and I was talking to Storeman about getting some parts. Life git in the way and I never got it done but I want to get on it now that I am retired. I do not see Storeman on here anymore and his last posts were in...
I don't know what the field ranges are supposed to go for but think about it. They have got to be swamped with equipment that is not selling due to the high minimum bids. Maybe this is the beginning of prices starting to drop?
This is totally amazing! The transmission I looked at months ago and naturally did not sell at the exorbitant opening price came up again and was offed to me the following month, At the same crazy price. Well guess what? No offers again. And NOW...
That is just the standard spiel that they give for all pick ups. Basically it covers them if you show up in a Prius to pick up that milling machine, Not their problem. If you can't get it then you default. I have never seen anywhere that did not have a forklift to help load the larger items...
They don't learn! I was watching a transmission but the opening bid was 400.00! Not even close to worth it for surplus and I guess nobody else thought so either since nobody bid on it. Well I just get a notification, [The item you added to your Watch List are now in preview and ready for...
Go-Dove is what took the place of gov liquidation but they do NOT have the government contract, Iron planet has the entire contract now. And Richie Bros. has apparently bought out Iron Planet so I guess they were in pretty good shape. They won't be if they keep this crap up though.
Here is the e-mail I sent.
Hello Adam, My name is Richard xxxxxx . I am e-mailing you because you are in my local area but this question pertains to all areas of the government sales. What is the story with the outrageously high opening bid prices all of a sudden and the individual items...
I noticed that ALL auctions are now listed as Iron Planet and not Gov-Planet. I sent off an e-mail to them to ask if the new outragously high minimum bid prices and individual item lots are going to be the norm from now on. I am curious to see if I even get a reply.
True, But Gov-Planet has been selling trucks for a couple years now on the govt. side so they know the game. They have been on the heavy equipment business for a long time. It is this new outfit that bought them out that I am worried about. The government will eventually say the **** with it and...
Yea, but go to that Go-Dove site and try to find any surplus. Look at the e-mail I referenced in post #1 that they sent me. They no longer have the government contract. They are just steering you to their other auction garbage.
I remember that at DRMO but I never got that from GL. DRMO would give you stuff that did not sell just to get rid of it. I think once stockpile get out of hand things will change.
