They all are so nice looking this month!!! With that in mind, I think I'm going to vote for Coffey1 instead of my own truck. As I get older, the trucks get bigger and I'm trying to progress to where the trucks get smaller. If it were an M151, I would have voted twice already!!!
Haven't done it yet. I'm about the take my 11X20 goodyears off tomorrow and trade them for some nice 14R20's. I'll soon have an M923A1. I still have to move mudflaps and bed back and get a spare tire carrier but that's easy enough work.
Deuce costed about 30 a year for tax and tag fees. 5 ton costs about 90 until next year when they tax me on it's value. They currently value it at 8,500 and that will make my payment for tag jump by about $250 before the "Highway Impact" Fee. Deuce probably would have costed the same if they...
It'll be this weekend. I'd be glad to though. Anything in particular you want me to get a close pic with a ruler of or just general overview shots from both sides?
C7 Also uses a V belt from the water pump to the A/C Compressor on LTAS equipped trucks which all have air conditioning. The pulley is right behind the fan clutch. Compressor is on driver's side of engine on those.
Garrett,
Of course I know that. We're good brother, I'll drink a beer with you next year at the rally if you partake in such beverages. If not, I'll bring some pepsi's or a few mountain dews.

I need to submit another picture as General Nonsense is about to be rolling on 14R20's thanks to a member on here. He'll make Joey on the step about 3 inches higher with the "bigfoot rubber"!
Garrett,
That's funny right there. I don't even need to wear ear plugs in the 5 ton cruising down the road. I can even have a conversation without yelling. I'm about to put some 14's on it and will be able to roll as fast as you. Only I can't as all of my friends still have deuces. I...
Sold it! I know that will not be met with Love but I'm now in the 5 ton club with an M923. My Deuce was a great truck but someone had more money and they purchased it. I bought the 5 ton and save for a few issues, I've gotten it fixed up as well. 6 year's with the Deuce, it was a great...
Stock 6BT 12V makes about 400 to 440 ft lbs of torque. The NHC 250 in these trucks makes 685 ft lbs. Even with that, it's a little on the sluggish side empty. I know you can upgrade the 5.9 to compensate but that'd be my only concern.
A proper description and identification of the truck does help. For instance, I was working on my M923 tonight and the wiper's would not work once the truck built air pressure. Search around and you will find many threads discussing the PPV or pressure protection valve. Mine failed, I found a...
Good Maintenance day following a GaMVR and Parade!!! Sealed up some air leaks and completed a complete greasing as dictated by the Lube Order. Even got to try out the new coveralls.
PB,
Type in 1 Trojan Way, Leesburg, GA, 31763. You'll have to park in the high school bus parking lot. I got approval last year and will do the same this year. I you want to stay closer to my house, you can plug in 915 Middle Road South which is the place that we discussed earlier. I got...
Coming this Saturday!!! So far, 3 Deuces, an M923 and an M54A1 Gun Truck are scheduled to be in attendance. Line up is at 0900 in front of the High School in Leesburg. Roll out from my front yard is 0830. Lunch afterward at Longhorn Steakhouse with room to park MV's and Tractor Trailers...
