As surmised above, it will work fine if you only switch the rears to LED. If you try to switch the rears and fronts to LED, you'll need to wire in resistors from the signal wires to ground in order to make the flasher function. I ran LED tailights for years with no problems.
I think I have my answer by digging up an old thread. I'm planning on towing my M1028 behind my M923 this October. I'll be sure to ensure the front hubs are "off" and the transfer will be in neutral. 180 miles each way. Any worries that the M923 rolls around 70 mph and the M1028 only does...
I've searched around a little and have not found a solution. I now have the correct parts to mount an A2 carrier on my cargo truck but it doesn't fit. I understand that the A1 and A2 trucks are about 3 inches longer and I think I know where that space comes from. My concern is that simply, it...
I can't nominate anything as I've already nominated one truck so here is some eye candy for next month!!! Nominate and post up pictures of your Pride and Joy!!
Of course I know who the owner is and he is an active member on this site. I've driven the truck along with the boy's in many Veterans Day Parades in Georgia and it's an excellent example of what you can do with a nice truck.
I've learned that pictures of kids who have learned the History thanks to a good set of Parents along with awesome vehicles to ride in should equal Votes. I've not asked permission so this post can be stricken from the record but I'd like to nominate "The Ugly Ranger". It's not my truck but it...
Lockers are not guaranteed just because it is a USMC M939. Look on the dash or Driver's side door for the "No Spin" lockers dataplate. I've seen hundreds with and thousands without in storage on base. We're down to a small handful now but they're out there. In my experience, the M809 Series...
It will do that if you are low on coolant as indicated by the top radiator hose collapsing with a hand squeeze and I'm assuming the radiator cap still on. No coolant around the probe equals no reading on the gauge.
Congrats to BigMike and his Bike!!! I campaigned my best but there was some fantastic vehicles in the running. Congrats to all of you for having such fine pieces of history!!! To my GA Mafia friends, I noticed some of you didn't vote for anyone. Well boys, looks like I'm bringing Natty's to...
One more vote, I'll even put some more ice in the cooler so that the Rockies are blue on the cans if I win!!! I had a last minute surge when I won with "Sarge" in May of 2015 and I need it once again. I'll drive much happier in the morning taking my awesome son Briggs to his pediatrician...
I've searched and not found what I'm looking for so far. I'd like to add air conditioning to my M923 with the 855 Cummins engine. I'm sure I'll use a kit from a HMMWV or MTVR as there are some in the classifieds but I'm curious as to the availability of brackets to mount the compressor to the...
I've gotten 2 more votes so far today. I really need about 10 more but Thank You Mr. Kent and Mr. Lloyd!! I need the SE US Mafia to take the time to vote in another hometown GA Rally Hero!!! As always, plenty of Natty's in my cooler for everyone either way at the GA MVR this year but if I...
He's trying to drill out the "tamper proof plug" on the side of his PT injection pump throttle shaft. Behind that plug is one of the fuel adjustments available to NHC 250 power truck owners. The other things that I'd read help include using different "buttons" and a dual fuel line mod.
I started with a much smaller drill bit and went slowly. I felt a bump when the bit first bumped through and hit the head of the screw. You've got to be getting close.
Bumped the fuel on mine slightly with the screw in throttle shaft and put about 40 gallons of filtered waste ATF. Truck seems to like the changes so far. Now it feels like it wants another gear when cruising at 55 mph and doesn't slow at all in the hills. Now to add a new either solenoid as...
The truck in the incident I described was pulling a trailer but common practice with the M105's and M149's is to leave the trailer air hoses disconnected and let the prime mover handle braking chores. That was how it was done for this particular incident as well. I've always wanted to test the...
An extra reason to vote for the 5 ton. It can easily hold about 20 of those Indian Motorcycles in the bed. The bike in the lead has lived around the world but has it ever been assigned to 4th RTB? That's the Ranger Training Battalion and that's where General Non-Sense cut his teeth and spent...
