Sure wish you members that post taptalk pictures as a taptalk link would post the pictures up as pictures NOT as a link because,
1-- It is a PAIN IN THE A$$ to to open 10 or more different links to bring them up.
2-- It is the SITE RULES NOT to post picture links because the links WILL...
Sure WISH all of you that post tap talk links would post pictures instead because it is a pain in the a$$ to bring up each picture AND it is ALSO SITE RULES not to post LINKS to pictures.
STILL think it is nothing more then cold clearances compared to operating temp clearances, the cold clearances are wide and sloppy allowing more air to be drawn in there by not getting the correct air/fuel mix, once at op.temp the clearances tighten up for a metal to metal contact which means...
My 819 with the 250 does the same thing until the ip warms up, the rpm creeps up, I set my hand throttle to about 750 then as the rpms go up, I reset the throttle a bit, I have had other 855s do the same thing over the years, once warm they stay at a set rpm dead on. I think it is more to do...
Ray, I get the "throw away" from reading the history and story of the multifuel from it's inception to current use, it was never designed to use a mix day in day out. This engine was designed to run on "battlefield collected crap" if the NEED should arise, I would guess the only filtering if any...
The one thing nobody is talking about is that the multifuel from day one in WW2 days when the Germans first introduced it till Nov. 12, 2018 (today) IS A THROW-AWAY ENGINE, It was and is a 100% DIESEL engine DESIGNED to run on DIESEL but has the capability of using battle field collected crap...

I can say one thing that looking at the drivers seat, the truck has a LOT more miles on it then 500 or 120 hrs, which tells me that these gauges DO NOT WORK ?, I am guessing it is a HIGH mileage/hours truck, also it is a CLEAN truck, CLEAN HIDES a lot, I would rather look at a DIRTY truck to...
I do not understand the big deal about this change because all you have to do disconnect the wires, remove the existing switch, plug the fitting where the switch was, then install a air brake brake light switch in the service line, connect the wires, so the only things needed are a plug and a...
I will give you fire sale emergency prices, this way you CAN NOT have the GOV. take something you know longer own.
If ANYONE one thinks the GOV. will not lie to you, just REMEMBER it is the FAVORITE place for LAWYERS to call home.
When I first read the title, I thought the price of "HUMMERS" was going up from $20 to $30 because of the battery need, but then once I read the thread I saw it was talking about HUMVEES), [thumbzup]
With grease/oil on the drums/shoes, even one drum/shoe set WILL effect stopping, the truck is made to stop with SIX brake/ shoe sets, with 1 out of 6 set oiled the truck will still stop pretty good, 1 bad out 4 is a different story.
It is all about pc correctness and NOT offending someone, there are people who will be offended by a blank piece of paper, so SCREW the pc correctness, the 20 years of SS is only important to us SSers and NOBODY else so let others get offended, who cares, remember being offended is the new hobby...
