So, I opened up the top to take a look. I was incorrect about it not being removed before, got it mixed it up with the other one I had worked on (to many different projects going on at once). With that said, there is nothing obvious to me that was changed or messed with on this side. Just dusty...
Got a bunch of cool stuff for the truck coming up and coming in. Weather cooled off, so I am hopefully going to be able to get some big stuff done!
Got some fairly cold weather early this year and had some sputtering at start. Fuel system was loosing it's prime. Think it was my water separator...
You're welcome. I hate to seem like a guy on here that just shares his own videos, but I feel like a video can be 1000x more helpful than reading something typed out or seeing a picture.
I made this video on a scrap LPW2 engine to show what exactly is going on inside with the injections pumps and the rack. Hopefully it will be a little helpful for you in your inspection on the pumps. Possible that the pumps were not put in correctly by the whomever refurbished it. I have a unit...
I have not opened up the back yet to look but that makes perfect sense. I'll need to pull the top off and look back there to see if it's the issue. It didn't look at first glance that it was pulled off but that doesn't mean it wasn't.
Everyone,
I normally keep my troubleshooting issues on one thread for one machine, but I searched a bunch, tried a bunch on my own, and have hit a dead end.

The search function doesn't work well, so forgive me if...
Well, the issue with the M8 is not in S6. So, it COULD be in S8. That means the top would need to come off to get at it. Oh joy!
I'm hoping that someone will chime in here and tell me a tip and there will be an easy solution. I already have a PITA fix for that bearing.
So, the squeal is the bearing at the end of the generator. Darn. That is going to be fun. Confirmed it by pulling the cover off and while it was running, getting a squirt of lithium grease on the bearing. It shut right up. That will be on the list if I solve the other issues. At least I have a...
So, I took apart the fault panel for a 400hz machine and you can pop out the red covers. Some hot glue "seals" them.
Popped them in where they were needed and will save the rest. When I feel up to it, I will remove it and hot glue it as it's supposed to be.
Notice when I had the panel open...
Everyone,
Starting another thread to document to fix-up of another MEP 802A I just won from GovPlanet.
Think I got one of the best deals of the year on this one, but hopefully I'm not jinxing myself!
Put fuel in it and started it right up. Making power as it should. Two almost new...
TQG Tactical Quiet Generators. These are the 800 series generators and they don't have any computers as I said. It's all manual and electro-mecanical, just like the older air cooler 00x model's. There are more electrical systems on them then the older generation but it was to improve the system...
