    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 2.0

Used some more stuff from the parted out unit to make this one better over the weekend. Replaced the fuel shut off solenoid. Adjusted the throttle limits a bit. Replaced the fuel sender. Nothing but the top was left. Sure the rest is in the tank! Tightened up the main 3/4 bolt for the...

    M1061a1 restoration

Cool! I'd like to get one of these for a shelter to go on.

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Connector came in and I got the thermostat remote all setup as it should be so that it is removable. A few more small parts are on their way. Once I get it 100%, I will probably make a video about it since there are none out there to my knowledge, showing how exactly it works and stuff...

The official 2022 Southeast Military Vehicle Rally information thread (the event formerly known as the Georgia Rally). This is gonna' be awesome!

I will try to keep an eye out for the dates for next years event. I will be there for sure. Having dates real far in advance will be great.

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Alright, so... in my over thinking, I completely forgot there is a wire diagram right on the unit under to cover for the controls. o_O Anyways, in looking at it a bunch of times and scratching my head, I realized when I wrote down what wire goes where, I crossed wire colors in the thermostat...

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 2.0

The second one I got I knew it was going to be parts, but it was worth it. Gave me a lot of spare parts... some that are going on this machine. I got a good M116A3 w/title out of it as well. Been selling off some of the stuff from it on my eBay store to help fund other things too. My goal it to...

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 2.0

Got the fuel leak fixed today, along with a new air filter & the fuse mod installed. Did some other stuff like lubricated all the handles and the locking nut things for the control box. Much smoother now. Made a quick cable to hook some things up to it. Ran it for about an hour under some...

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

I wired to thermostat up temporarily while I'm waiting for a new set of connectors to come in. It gets power and does what it is supposed too. Burner doesn't want to start though, even when I put the remote in "HI". Looking at the wire diagram, I think it is the S3 switch that may be bad. It's...

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Okay, so I had to come here to complain... I found the information I needed. The file was on a clickbait site but I managed to get the information I needed. Couldn't extract the whole TM from there.

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

So without the TM, I'm unsure how to wire the remote thermostat that I got today! There are 3 wires. I was going to guess they'd match the markings as they usually do... A, B, C as on the connector and wires on the unit itself. Inside the thermostat is 1, 2, 3. 1-A, 2-B, 3-C is my best guess...

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 2.0

Cool, I may give it a try today or tomorrow. I figured as much but wanted to know if anyone did it on these units. Will report back.

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 2.0

Everyone, Starting another thread to document to fix-up of another MEP 802A I just won from GovPlanet. Got it for a good price, considering what they have been going for. The pictures were terrible, but I live close by & was picking up another MEP 802A a few week before that I knew was...

The official 2022 Southeast Military Vehicle Rally information thread (the event formerly known as the Georgia Rally). This is gonna' be awesome!

Enjoy. I look forward to making it in my M1078 next year. Will be a long drive. Should have a shelter trailer setup by then as well.

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

TM 9-4520-258-14 is the one I am missing. I have TM 9-4520-258-24P. Those are on the unit. I think a new TM superseded it though, TM 9-4520-258-13&P.

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Spent some more time with it yesterday. After looking it over with a bit more light, I found the elbow. Was happy about that. Noticed a few bolts missing on the part of the burner (not an HVAC guy, not sure the proper name) and decided to open it up because that meant someone was in there at...

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Everyone, Got myself a H-120 Army Space heater this morning from the auction yard. Got it for a real good price so figured I'd get it while I was there for other things. Has less than 3 hours on it. Tires were horrible, but I had some to swap on at the house. Will do something better...

    Choctaw H140 spark problems

I just got a H-120, it looks similar to the H-140. I seem to have the issue you are describing. I can't seem to find the TM for mine. Managed to find the parts TM only. Funny, looked up a H-140 picture & I think the remote control for one was inside of mine.

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread

This one was missing a bunch of other stuff as well. It honestly wasn't worth the work. Good to know though. I plan to own 3-4 of these eventually!

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread

PMCS prevents failures in the field! Was looking things over today and noticed that the fuel shut off bolt, nut, or whatever you want to call it, was only in by two threads and about to strip out! This would have caused quite the issue if it messed up while I was out at my off grid place. Not...
