This is the piece that I am unknowing of. I still can’t get the lock cylinder out. No screw and I watched a dozen you tube videos. First CUCV I seen without a stew holding the lock cylinder in.
I really struggled getting the snap ring off the lock plate. I am done for today. I may contact the rebuilder again or try and figure out how this little contact goes in place.

Next the 3 torx 20 screws holding the horn ground contact adapter in place.

I thought I would share these pictures of a HMMWV that rolled thru my gate to pick up some parts. It was painted with some HOT CARC as the under carriage had heavy rust from the paint stripping everything down to the bare metal. It may be someone’s here.

It was a joke. I wouldn't waste my time or money to modify a CUCV in such a foolish way. I wouldn't do it to any vehicle. I do not like green eggs and ham I do not like them Sam I am.
That won't matter either way. I never dove into alternators real deep. My trucks showed 14.2 on the front battery and I think about 28.4 on the rear battery. I could be wrong, but I think you are using the wrong contacts to measure the voltage. Good Luck.
