Consensus here seems to be the TCMs are basically interchangeable over the years. They have different flashes based on GVW of the truck they are intended for. Pin out is the same.
You said you could find TCMs in a junk yard, since there are no HMMWV junk yards, I assumed you meant commercial...
Welcome,
Nobody that I am aware of has made a homemade adapter for the TCM. The TCM was only used in 1 year (I recall 1993) GM vehicles with 6.2 diesel and 4L80E, so finding this in a junkyard will be a challenge. Quite a few folks on here are parting out auction trucks, suggest you run a...

I have Transforce on mine, a good highway only tire.
Page 122 for error 85 and 86 discusses the TISS and TOSS sensors providing inputs to the brain that the brain is not expecting, leading to brain going to limp mode. Checking these sensors is where I would start.
I believe the reason these hubs are working out so well is that previously the Cat spent all its time at redline against the governor whereas the torque peak is half that.
Uncle has been selling the early models for some time now. The ones that have sold are the birds you see on the SWAT tv show and various Youtube channels.
