To be honest it's never occurred to me to change the stock steering wheel. it works fine, even when wheeling. I mean. It's a wheel. You turn it. I have been thinking about 3D printing up a new batch of emblems for guys that are missing theirs though. I've got mine, luckily, but it hurts my soul...
That gives you a clue that the belligerent may be the manufacturers' association as has been suggested, because there are zero JLTVs in civilian ownership so zero opportunity problems. Who else would even have awareness of that platform enough to raise it as an issue? Then again maybe some...
That guy has done a lot of good work and I admire his progress but I can't bring myself to love how he made the brackets, especially the part where he drills through the bed of the truck around the pockets to install them. The original bracket was a flat piece of plate with some square tube...

My truck had this same problem, after the dash warning light connector half pulled itself out. I think maybe they vibrate out from tension on the harness. Caused a myriad of problems, including the air alarm not working (some would say that was a blessing).
Forgive me if this has been covered, I tried the search... But does anyone's M1078A0 cab tilt unlocked warning light actually work? Mine never has, and I think I eventually dug up the schematics and it doesn't even seem wired. There's certainly no wiring at the latch. Did they just include this...
I've found the secret to painting plastic is an adhesion promoter primer as sold by auto paint places. Learned this painting vehicles. I like Bulldog but I suppose any of them will work. Figure they paint plastic body panels all the time and the paint stays on right, even on flexible parts -...
