IMO you're better off running it from a time delay relay. They're pretty common, and wait a (usually programmable) amount of time before de-energizing after the vehicle is switched off. This will allow some loads to remain on, for short trips away from the truck, like if you're charging a phone...

RRAD is hit/miss.
In my truck, the passenger seat cushion was replaced and like brand new while the driver's seat was torn to #%(&.
They replaced all the rubber under the hood, even leaving the parts tag on some of them, but then kept the old ether fuel pressure sensor (which was leaking)...

Diesel engines are stupid simple. They require 3 things.
Air.
Fuel.
Compression (heat).
Find out which one you're not getting, and you solve your problem.
Being this is an M939 series, you have to worry about the pickup tube and the now...
The opening is offset. It's not centered. I learned that the hard way when installing lights into the bumper.
So, when it's flipped upside down, the offsets are on the opposite side.
If you've never paid attention to the front bumper, you might have missed it.
I would be concerned that if there's enough torsional flex, the side walls would actually come in contact and either prevent movement, or bend/break.
It looks like a good idea, though, and to be honest I'd love the CAD file to run to a shop to see if they could cut it. :D
