    260 amp alternator

My 1998 M1079 with a 2013 box has the stock four battery 12 / 24 volt configuration. What is gained by changing to a single voltage system? What is lost? I plan on putting solar on the roof. Does 12 vs 24 volt solar have advantages / disadvantages. Thanks in advance,

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

E There is about 1/4” of what appears to be rubber in the rectangular cup. Not as thick as what you show in your pic. I think the more material in the cup the less the habitat can safely flex on the frame.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I wondered why the spare tire lift on my 1998 M1079 would not lower the tire. It appears that the lift was too high when the new box was put on in 2013. I had to lift the box about 2" to be able to get the lift in proper position. It worked perfectly after repositioning. Also replaced Oil Line...

    Where does this attach?

Sounds like I'll be looking for another heating option. Although the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a cold, wet and icy winter for west Texas.

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

San Angelo is way hotter than Corpus. It’s worth it to me . It was I’ve been weighing 24v bs 110v AC. I hadn’t thought about both but that is a great idea. Our plan after camper conversion is to drive Angelo to NM and hang out in the mountains a week to ten days. Leave it in long term parking...

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

I really appreciate everyone’s input. Now about tire pressure for highway driving. My tires say 95PSI. Is that what you are running?

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

I believe we are going for LizardSkin inside the box. Will put it on roof, back and sides of cab. Will get eco hubs. Maybe kilmat underside of cab. Might need to pick up a few more ER shifts to pay for everything.

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

I’ve already changed to highway gears otherwise I’d be getting the ECO hubs. They appear to be a great product. I am unsure how they will work with the highway gears.

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

Ostrich skin would clash with my elephant hide combat boots. I can’t argue with your installer requirements. How about having to choose between LizardSkin and kilmat / flashing?

    LizardSkin / Tire questions

We are getting ready to start on our Paradox (1998 M1079) and would love to learn from your experiences. If money was not an issue, would you insulate your cab with LizardSkin or Kilmat? What tire pressure do you run on the highway. I’m going through the every light on CTIS blinks workup.
