I have used a box end open end wrench cut in half because I needed to use a cheater pipe on it a socket will come in handy to . The threads are all the same right on left off the nut size is 2 1/4 on older trailers some are 2 3/8 .

The dolly would not need lights when hooked up to the trailer or mud flaps if pulled with out the trailer it needs both .working brakes on the dolly are a must have .

The Radiator in your m51a2 sits close to the hood you may be able to move it up about an inch or so be for it hits the hood . The lower the fan the better there may not be much space between your valve cover and the hood at the front of your new engine. I don't know how tall your 466 is fan...
I use the black rubber ones at work they have the hollow spaces on the bottom . on soft or muddy ground they push in if the truck rolls on them they work better on there side . on hard ground if the truck is driven over them they split and flatten out .
